StanJr #26 Posted October 2, 2003 Ok, I'm with ya. So is it required to have ALL of the prior limit breaks for a character for them to learn the Ultimate Limit Breaks? Oh, and I've checked out pretty much ALL of the FAQ's on gamefaq's and did not find these answers!
chrisbid #27 Posted October 2, 2003 as far as i know, you only need the item to get the level 4 break... but this may not be correct. the book says nothing about meeting any other requirements, and im not going to start up another game to find out
StanJr #28 Posted October 3, 2003 I've got Yuffie with all her limit breaks except for Bloodlust, and I've tried to teach her her Ultimate Break, but she says she's not ready. The only possible solution I can think of is that she needs ALL 6 other breaks before she will learn the Ultimate break.
StanJr #29 Posted October 3, 2003 I DID find a good FAQ to answer my LB levelling up problems and all that is clear. But I still cannot get Tifa's Final Heaven limit break out of the piano!!!
chrisbid #30 Posted October 3, 2003 when you play the piano, you cant use the onscreen help guide, and i also believe that you may have to wait until disc 3...
MegaManFan #31 Posted October 3, 2003 But I still cannot get Tifa's Final Heaven limit break out of the piano!!! Don't feel bad. I spent two hours trying to get Cid's final limit break AFTER beating all three weapons and finally just gave up cause no matter WTF I did he wouldn't gain it. I had him hit the death blow EVERY time, and it never F'N worked. :x :x
chrisbid #32 Posted October 3, 2003 thats because you have to find his level 4 limit break underwater. there is a crashed sub you can inspect to get the Highwind limit break
MegaManFan #33 Posted October 3, 2003 Is that the same one I was in getting the book to give the old man in the village so he'd give me a Gold Chocobo? Summa'bich! :x
liveinabin #34 Posted October 3, 2003 I love that huge monster (I forget what it's called) that swims around in the ocean and kicks your ass if you're unfortunate enough to get into a fight with it. There's also a similar harder one embedded in the floor somewhere isn't there? I forget the names, last time I played it was '97. I'm a bit tempted to go back and have a go, but I recently went for a nostalgia trip through my old favourite Xenogears and got bored stupid by the whole thing:(
StanJr #35 Posted October 3, 2003 Couple of things: The EMERALD Weapon patrols the sea floor, and sometimes protects the crashed Gelinka (a Shinra plane that went down). You can find Cid's ultimate limit break, the Highwind, inside the downed plane. you do NOT have to fight the Weapon to get inside, if he is in the way, just resurface and then go down again, he should be gone. The other Weapon, Ruby Weapon, is hiding in the Desert where the Golden Saucer is. You can see his head poking out of the sand late in the game. ram him to fight him. I'll keep trying to get Tifa's Final Heaven, and I'll see if it works on Disc 3 when I get there! Thanks!
