Songbird games

Recommended Posts

I don't think they are. I too got Protector SE from Carl and it wasn't shrinkwrapped. When I went to PC4 this year, AA had the other Songbird games on display and they weren't shrinkwrapped either.

Does it make a difference? I guess if you werw a collector it would, but then you wouldn't be able to play it, unless you bought 2 of course?

You could always go to an office supply store (the professional ones, not Staples, etc.) and get a new/used shrinkwrapper. but Songbird Productions is basically a one man operation and i don't think he cares about shrinkwrapping stuff. he's not the only one though, nothing that has come out post-Atari has been shrinkwrapped, including Telegame's games IIRC. So post-Atari "mint" is without shrinkwrapping

Sure you can, I have a number of games where I just slit the top of the shrinkwrap to open and slide the cart out, leaving the shrinkwrap intact on the box, but it's just to keep the box protected in "mint" condition, which as far as I'm concerned is just as good as "NIB", NIB=MIB to me, perfect is perfect. the difference in monetary terms if VERY minimal.

Correction: BattleSphere Gold arrived in shrinkwrap with a gold foil sticker on them.

Songbird games have not been shrinkwrapped (at least, not by me). Gunstar is correct that, except for the occasional help from my faithful wife, it's basically just me assembling boxes / filling orders, so anything I can do to deliver a nice product but keep time/costs down is the way to go. :)

Telegames has also been shrinkwrapping their post-Atari games, FWIW.
