GBA Must have!! Please Read!

Recommended Posts

I'm sure this topic was discussted before. I'm 99% sure I'm deploying to Afganistan in November (My baby's birth it's in Dec 1st, so tough luck) Anyway, I face the chance to spend 10+ months over there. I don't think I can take any of my consoles over there, but I'm taking my GBA. What games are a must have? I have so far:

Never Beated:

Donkey Kong Country

Beated:

Metroid Fusion

Advance Wars

Prehistorik Man

Just for Fun:

Namco Museum

ChessMaster

Arcade Advance

I like the arcades for the shooters, and the scroling type games as u guys can see. i was thiking about getting Sonic Advance 2, anyways, thanks in advance

definitly get Sonic Advance 2, Wario Mega MicroGame$ or whatever the hell its called. Get all 3 of the 'mario advance' games, one has the original mario and the second, the other has super mario, and the newest one has mario 3, so thats a nice chunk of gaming right there. good luck over there!

you might want to try and get a GP32 and you can take all kinds of emu stuff with you that way? Just a thought....sorry to hear you have to go before your kid is born.

best wishes,

Mock :)

I would say River City Ransom Ex, but I don't think that's coming out until early next year. Maybe the Japanese version is coming out sooner?

In any event, get a friend to mail this one to you, it's gonna be awesome!

Well, the much talked about Activision Anthology immediately pops into mind. I'd second Wario Ware Inc. - you'll LOVE that one. I'd also put a big nod in for Yoshi's Island. Plenty there to keep you busy for HOURS.

Get Ninja Five-O... I know the name sounds really stupid, but the game is crazy amazing. Imagine a combination of Shinobi, Ninja Gaiden and Bionic Commando, and you'll have an idea of what the game is like. It's got to be the single greatest sleeper hit of the GBA library.

If you like exploring adventure type games, the Legend of Zelda is fun and will last you a good many hours of exploring and solving the puzzles. I just got it myself since I never played the original and while I am only just getting started exploring the world of Hyrule, it seems like it is going to be a lot of fun to complete this game. :)

Pokemon Puzzle League and the Konami Arcade Pak. If you've never played any of them the old school Mega Man games are pretty good too.

Osbo,

I don't have a GBA, but I would like to say that I hope you are safe over there and you come back soon!

Remember to keep your head on a swivel, and trust that "gut" feeling, that if something doesn't feel right, it probably isn't.

Just some friendly words of advice from another "Brother-in-arms"!

Good Luck! :)
