Do those “Spitfire Attack” and “Survival Run” carts have original end labels on ‘em or repros? It seems like the Milton Bradley games are somewhat HTF with the end labels on them.

They are originals. The thing with those is that you had to apply them yourself. The end labels came on a sheet of stickers and most people did not apply them properly...or at all. I found these at the flea market here with a bunch of other Atari stuff. Actually, this is where I got this weird little blue binder that holds instructions by wires. The blue binder is small with white letters that say Atari on it and then it opens with all of these wires at the binding part. You were supposed to put the instruction through the wire part so it was in the middle of the booklet and then you could flip through it. I have never seen another like it...anywhere.

I have the same binder. It says: GAME BOOKS with the Atari logo in the center, right?

That's It!  :D

Not many of those around I don't think.  It's neat though and I'm glad I found it "in the wild".

Yep, got mine for free 8)

I owe most of my collection to finds "in the wild" as a matter of fact. One of the fun highlights was a day at a local flea market where I bought a mint, complete with box and instruction sheet Chase the chuckwagon for 50 cents! And by the looks of it I think it would be safe to say it was NEVER played before till I took it home ;)

I noticed your Glib cart. I got one of those at a local thrift store. It was in a giant bag of loose carts with a $5.00 price tag stapled to the bag. In all there were at least 60 carts in the bag including an Atari Video Cube and a lot of other oddball carts that I never saw before till that day.

In fact, I was so unimpressed with Glib when I tested it at home that I threw it in my junk box of games I would never play! It's safe to say that I am a little wiser now to it's rarity and rescued from the "bunk games box" :P

I noticed you are from PA. I used to live near Hershey and found a ton of Atari stuff there. It was a town called Lebanon. I was just a seller on eBay when I lived there and the stuff I found went right on to eBay. I had so many rare items now that I look back and all sold on eBay....some to you guys I bet. I just recently got into collecting but now live in Arizona and it is a lot harder to find games out here. The best (most sought after and valuable I guess) cart I found here was a Atari Video Cube at a flea market. I did find a 800XL with a bunch of games at a sale here too. That wasn't bad.

I had my games out and my digital camera lying nearby so I decided to take a shot of some of the highlights in my collection.

Actually, I'm lucky because I have manuals to most of these--all the Avalon Hills, Quadrun, the CommaVids and Sub Commander. I have one for Gravitar but it's not a silver manual. If anyone wants to sell me one of those or one for Waterworld ('cause I got the box and the comic but I need the poster and manual), let me know.

Best of all, I have Skeet Shoot CIB! :D

Yeah, I did know that the Milton Bradley titles came w/o the end labels already attatched. Seems kinda weird, really, DIY cartridges. My copies, of course, have repros on 'em. :|

Doesn't surprise me though, coming from Milton Bradley. Most of their board games required you to break apart plastic pieces that were all together straight from the mold, apply decals, tear apart perforated cards, etc.

Well, I will be posting pictures soon enough of my Atari room. I have already started by removing the old floor tile, painted one wall and soon will start building shelves to hold my boxed games and other Atari items.

:) :) :D
