Lord-Chaos #1 Posted October 5, 2003 Anyone knows if these games are hacks , pirated or original games ? These games were very common in Europe, I don´t know if there are NTSC versions. Thimo
Eckhard Stolberg #2 Posted October 6, 2003 I think ITT officially sold some of the Homevision games in Germany under their own name. Some of the games, like the pumuckl titles, were probably written specifically for ITT by Homevision. ITT obviously had an official license for games based on the Pumuckl TV series, but the Zoofun game is definately based on the Panda Chase code. The game is too different to be a simple hack though, so whoever created it must have had access to the Panda Chase source code. Thomas Jentzsch #4 Posted October 6, 2003 ...so whoever created it must have had access to the Panda Chase source code. Yup, I can confirm this. Do you know which was first?

Eckhard Stolberg #8 Posted October 6, 2003 Yes, I think Panda Chase and Zoo Fun are both games by Homevision. I only wrote "the Zoofun game" because I can't remember the name ITT released it under. But ITT apparently advertised their Pumuckl series games in a german magazine. Also the character in Zoo Fun and in Farmyard Fun looks exactly like Pumuckl does in the TV series, and both games play the title tune from the TV series too. So I'm pretty sure that ITT must have had an official license to release games based on it. My theory is that ITT was distributing Homevision games under their own label in Germany. When they got the Pumuckl license, they asked Homevision to quickly write a game for them. So Homevision just took their Panda Chase game and changed it a bit to pass as a Pumuckl game. If you look closely at Zoo Fun, you can see that the number of extra lives is still represented as little Panda heads. I don't think Hell Driver was written by ITT. There are many numbers in the Homevision release list still unaccounted for. I'm convinced that most of the obscure PAL games, where the company is unknown of, are actually Homevision games. Hell Driver for example shows the letters "R.J.P.G" on the screen, which is something that other games that weren't released by ITT do too. MattyXB #9 Posted October 6, 2003 I own a Prototype from Peter Penguin. Its in a white Homevision Case. But its strange, because HomeVision release it under a different name, something with Frisco in a white case I think and later only under HomeVision 4 without name in a black case. But the Prototype calls Peter Penguin and has near the same number as the ITT game only the space and - is different. Prototype: 554 373 38 ITT Game: 554-37 338 But I have never see such numbers on HomeVision games. Only on this Prototype.

Has anyone figured out how to actually play this game? Hell Driver is the only ITT game I have complete in box with instructions. If there are no instructions available, I may scan them. BTW:These games are common in Europe, collectors should try www.ebay.de (ebay Germany), ITT games often are in lots of 5-10 games for a few bucks, if you want to collect them. But boxed ones are not as common.ITT games had plastic boxes. Thimo

But boxed ones are not as common.ITT games had plastic boxes. Thimo Eventually, I may have to find a way to get some of those. The lables on the games a generally well done and most have a reference to the Perry Rhodan series that I read several books from when I was a child. (I wish that I knew exactly what the connections were supposed to be, but maybe if the instructions are posted to AtariAge, I could find out.) BTW/question: Those boxes are kind of strange, they look like common VHS boxes here in the U.S., but are they significantly different inside?
