liveinabin #1 Posted October 8, 2003 I'm thinking of getting the GC version of Crazy Taxi (I have it on DC but it's all I ever get my ailing system out for). Is the GC version the same as the DC or it closer to the PS2 port (which I've heard is not as good). I loved the VERY sharp graphics of the DC version and I'm hoping for the same on the Nintendo. King Atari #2 Posted October 8, 2003 I heard all ports of the original are good. I'd say get it!
Inky #3 Posted October 8, 2003 I have it, and enjoy it, but since I got Simpsons Road Rage, I haven't touched it too much.
Rhindle The Red #4 Posted October 8, 2003 I heard the exact opposite. Sega didn't handle the ports, so I'd try it out first if I were you. Never liked the game too much myself, so I can't say for sure.
liveinabin #5 Posted October 8, 2003 I have it, and enjoy it, but since I got Simpsons Road Rage, I haven't touched it too much. Don't tell me Simpsons Road Rage is actually good? I'd given up hope of a Simpsons game being anything but dross. wow.

Lost Monkey #7 Posted October 8, 2003 I've CT o' GCN 'n I find it OK. I haven't noticed a difference in the GFX, but the frame rate never skips like on the DC.
liveinabin #8 Posted October 8, 2003 I heard the voice acting was pretty flat on the Acclaim (PS2, GC) versions compared to DC. Can anyone verify this?
SS #9 Posted October 8, 2003 I have it, and enjoy it, but since I got Simpsons Road Rage, I haven't touched it too much. Don't tell me Simpsons Road Rage is actually good? I'd given up hope of a Simpsons game being anything but dross. wow. "Road Rage" is fun enough to pop into the GC for a few quick play minutes from time to time. I recommend picking it up if you see it used for $15 or less.
chrisbid #10 Posted October 8, 2003 if you find it cheap, then its worth a pick up, nothing special or unique about it though, and it is better than the PS2 version.
raindog #11 Posted October 19, 2003 I never played the arcade or DC versions of CT, but I love the GC version. Bright sharp graphics, a touch of humor and pure escapism. I did find that no matter which controller setup I used, my thumb would start hurting a lot after an hour or so.
+kisrael #12 Posted October 19, 2003 Road Rage has a head-to-head mode, which as far as I know Crazy Taxi lasts, so while it's not as good as 4 player mode would be, (a little bit too much back and forth with just 2...MAN would 4 be fun) it's worthwhile. +kisrael #14 Posted October 19, 2003 I wasn't that crazy about Hit-n-Run...I was looking for Grand Theft Simpsons, but mostly it seemed much more scripted, with little incenting to go off and explore on my own.
