How do I get my bidder to PAY ME?

Recommended Posts

I sold dozens of games and books without any hassle. And yet there's that small 1% of annoying idiots who make the ebay experience a pain in the ass.

I sold a VCR on ebay for $90. The guy had very good feedback, so I emailed him and said, "What's you address?" He gave it, and I shipped it.

In the meantime, the guy decided to buy a VCR from his local store.

Now he claims he's not obligated to pay me, because he doesn't need two VCRs.

.

What can I do to get my $90 from this idiot?

Well... he is obviously an idiot, and there is no point in trying to talk sense to an idiot.

I sense a hint of sarcasm in that post. :lolblue:

RC, do you normally send out packages before being paid? :ponder:

That's kind of a risky move given the amount of deadbeats on ebay! I think you just lost $90 bucks! :|

His feedback is well over 1000 with only 2 complaints. I figured he could be trusted.

Obviously I thought wrong. I wonder what happened to make him suddenly turn "bad"?

He probably never had the opportunity to put one over on someone this easily. He's got the VCR, which I hope he will send back?, and hasn't paid a dime. So he can take his sweet time and get buyer's remorse and not want yours anymore, lesson learned.

Not Super VHS. They cost $300 minimum. He paid $75+shipping, so he's got it for 75% off.

I wonder if I can do what "lonesome_pa" did with Pooyan, and contact the local sheriff in Boulder, Colorado? Maybe a little visit from the police will scare him into paying for the VCR (or returning it).

I hope you learned a valuable lesson from this. :|

Just contact Cousin Vito and have him break the guy's knee caps  :P

You're the first person I know of who ships out items sold on Ebay to someone you do not know without first receiving payment.

Is he in the same state? If so, sue him in Small Claims Court! You'll be able to recoup some of the time and expense involved (in costs awarded) if you're successful.
