Cartoon Character / Comic Book Character Games

Recommended Posts

I need a new quest so I have decided to try to collect all of the games that have comic book or cartoon characters in them. So far, I have thought of the following games:

Taz

Road Runner

Snoopy and the Red Baron

Superman

Spiderman

GI Joe

Flash Gordon

Muppets Pigs in Space

Big Bird's Egg Catch

Alpha Beam with Ernie

Cookie Monster Munch

Oscar's Trash Race

Smurfs

Strawberry Shortcake

Okay, which ones have I missed? :?

i think some of the ITT games were based off of Pumuckl which is a cartoon in europe. others were based on Perry Rhodan, but i don't know if that was a cartoon or not.

Hi there!

others were based on Perry Rhodan, but i don't know if that was a cartoon or not.

There are comics, but originally it's a weekly novel series.

(If you count these, you'd have to include the Star Wars games and others as well)

Greetings,

Manuel

Lock N Chase, the character you are playing is the Japanese anime character Lupin. This was changed for the Mattel carts, the copyright reasoning behind it is detailed on the Blue Sky Rangers site.

I would really consider the Flash Gordon cart to be a movie tie-in game and not a cartoon tie-in based on the artwork from the 1980 movie being used etc. But obviously there have been Flash Gordon cartoons and comics. (Alex Raymond rules!)

ET The Extra Testicle was based off the play...Not the movie.

What about the Swordquest games?

Though not based on a comic or cartoon, the comic was made for the game. So technically they were in comic book format also. Just not a traditional one.
