RCmodeler #1 Posted October 9, 2003 Hi! I was wondering if any of the text adventures (like Zork or Hitchhiker's Guide) have been transcribed from the game to a text file?
Ze_ro #2 Posted October 10, 2003 Better yet, there are interpreters out there that you can use to play the Infocom games on just about any system (there's even a Gameboy port of an interpreter). Check out Frotz. These programs work like an emulator, and you need the original data files from the original game. They shouldn't be too hard to find. --Zero
RCmodeler #3 Posted October 10, 2003 Uh yeah, but I don't want to play them. I just want to read the beautiful prose.
Ze_ro #4 Posted October 10, 2003 I don't know if that would work very well, since getting everything "in order" would be quite difficult. --Zero
Jasoco #5 Posted October 11, 2003 Well, isn't there a way to just get the text out of the game file? Must be a way. Oh, and I agree. Fileplanet DOES suck. Horribly.
