video store selling N64 and PS1 games...

Recommended Posts

My local videoplace is selling off most of their N64 and PS1 games and I was wondering what some of the higher valued games for both systems are. They arent selling ALL of thier games, but im sure if I made a decent offer on some of them they wouldnt turn it down. I know that 2 PS1 games in perticular that they are have are worth quite some, and are GREAT games, the games being Castlevania and Klonoa, which I love both and am going to make an offer to the manager next time he is in there. What are some other gems?

DON'T Pay a lot for Castlevania: Symphony of the Night. While it is an outstanding game (best PS1 game IMO) it's VERY common and easy to come by.

Tactics Ogre, Dragon Ball GT and Geom Cube are three of the rarer PS1 games I know of.

I wasnt planning on paying a bundle, most likely the store has no idea of the value of any of its game, and i bet they really dont care either. I seem to remember them having Tactics Ogre actually, and maybe Einhander as well, I have to return a video on saturday so i will be back in there soon. The prices for their PS2 games are 17, PS1 games 7 or so and N64 9 or so, but if I offer more for the harder to find games im sure they will think they are getting the deal ;)

Namco Museum Volumes 2 and 5 are HTF PS1 titles. Fox Hunt is supposedly also an HTF title. Rental exclusive editions of games are very collectable and sought after by many collectors as well.

Hmm . . . Aside from Tactics Ogre and Final Bout GT, it's tough to call the rares on the PlayStation now, but I'd say that the following games are, at the very least, "collectible."

Guilty Gear

Einhander

Eggs of Steel (it allegedly has the smallest print run among PSone titles)

Elemental Gearbolt

Metal Slug X

Poy Poy

The Raiden Project

Rhapsody: A Musical Adventure

Theme Hospital

Xenogears

Don't forget Intelligent Cube. One of the first puzzle games for the PS, so it was a relatively small pressing, but it was SUCH an awesome game.

That's where you try to pursue the rental store exclusives. These are versions of games that were never sold to the public so they are quite collectable.
