PuddWakkr #2 Posted October 11, 2003 Why does every list have Ico on it at the top. The game got great reviews, which means it's not underrated. It also was quite popular getting lots of press for its outstanding quality. If I remember correctly it also sold quite well due to the two factors listed above. The game is good and sold quite well. Why do lists keep proclaiming it as some darkhorse that no one has heard of?

Christophero Sly #4 Posted October 11, 2003 I wouldn't put Zork Zero on that list.

MegaManFan #6 Posted October 11, 2003 I dispute UmLammer Jammy being on ANY list. That game was horrid and turned everything I liked about PaRappa into a stinky festering pile of doggy doo-doo.
Miqorz #7 Posted October 11, 2003 Star Tropics 1 and 2 for NES bar-none 2 of the best NES games of all time.. Yet next to no one knows of their greatness.
MegaManFan #8 Posted October 12, 2003 StarTropics and Zoda's Revenge are classics, at least to me. I think most NES gamers know about them, but maybe the rest of the public at large doesn't.

VF 4:e is still pretty much number #1 in japan, and VF 4 here for ps2 selling enough to become a part of the "Greatest Hits" label, and which VF 4:e selling as a greatest hits title. i think the sales speaks for itself. cryptik76 #10 Posted October 12, 2003 Divine Divinity for PC. Stupid name, great game! Also the Thief series, Blade of Darkness, and Anachronox (all for PC).
AtariDude #11 Posted October 12, 2003 Wizardy 8 deserved a better fate. It was a nice wrap up to one of the original RPGs of the IBM PC era but Sir Tech Canada had limited financial resources and could not get the advertising nor the distribution necessary to gain a following. A sad end to a once beloved RPG series.
Nintendo Penguin #12 Posted October 12, 2003 Clu Clu Land for the NES.... Great Game, but most gamers today have not even heard of it.

liveinabin #14 Posted October 13, 2003 Jumping Flash 2, Treasures of the Deep and Liberogrande for Playstation I was going to name some Saturn games but, well, nobody bought any of them, or the system, so I couldn't single any out:)
joeybastard #15 Posted October 13, 2003 I dispute UmLammer Jammy being on ANY list. That game was horrid and turned everything I liked about PaRappa into a stinky festering pile of doggy doo-doo. That's funny I feel exactly the opposite. I think PaRappa was kind of dumb and unfun whereas I enjoyed Umlammer. Diff'rent Strokes for diff'rent folks

Jasoco #17 Posted October 15, 2003 I can't believe I passed up Herzog when I was at the GS one day. I picked it up and showed it to my brother and we laughed at the name. The cart was not perfect, but in nice condition, but not knowing what it was, I put it back... Then I come here and find out what it was! D'OH!!! I had/have StarTropics back in the day. I got it when my cousin had it. I didn't know what it was about. Then I played it. I loved it. THey let me borrow it and I got hooked. A while later I got my own copy and still have it to this day. Too bad I lost the paper and booklet and box and stuff. I'd like to find a complete one one day. I still haven't gotten 2 yet. I've played it on an emulator. It's okay. And I'd like to have it to have. But I never see it in the wild. Guess I'll get it off eBay some day.
