joeybastard #1 Posted October 11, 2003 I haven't been thrifting or going to garage sales much this summer because I just bought a house so money was a little tight. This morning on the way to a Dr.s appointment, I stopped to look at a garage sale. There was a SNES with 10 games. When I asked how much, the lady said $5 so I bought it. Her mother looks at it and says, "I have an Atari, do you know what that is?" I said yes and she went into house to get it. well I got a boxed 4 switch woody with a bunch of commons. No boxes for the carts but the system box looks brand new. 2 good joysticks, paddles and a whole bunch of catalogs. There is even an Atariforce comic in there in mint condition. She sold it to me for $5 too. Everything works perfectly!

Ranthulfr #3 Posted October 12, 2003 The other stuff is nice too but you can't beat a good 4-switch woodgrain console with its box for five bucks. Great score! Did the doctor ask why your heart rate was elevated?

joeybastard #7 Posted October 12, 2003 well I definetely didn't get an Eli's Ladder I got the most common of commons: Combat Pac-Man Defender Asteroids Space Invaders Super Breakout The person saved all of the catalogs and warrenty cards too so that's kind of a cool thing to have too. All in all I'm very happy about this find.
Brad2600 #8 Posted October 13, 2003 Sounds like a great find! This is what I love about collecting Atari. You never know when you'll find quite a good deal.
tantone56 #9 Posted October 13, 2003 yes that is what ataris about, finding good deals. Deals around where I live are hard to find cause everyone think there atari is a vintage artifact worthy of a friggin muesene so they charge a nut and a half...good this pisses me off beyond belief
