You have a VCS switch box and cable TV that you want hooked up at the same time? Go to Radio Shack and get an A/B switch. It has 2 coaxial inputs and 1 output. Out goes to the TV or VCR. One in for CATV one for the switchbox using an adapter or even better get one of these for the VCS side of the switch.

Coaxial (F-Type) to Female RCA Adapter

Yeah, it's called an RF demodulator...but they are usually pretty spendy ($60 or higher). You could just use a VCR to do it for you.

Here is a picture, I use one and there is no quality loss. It sucks it is just like an old tv switchbox, you have to get up to switch it over every time.

re: Cable to A/V

Are you trying to split a cable signal into seperate audio and video cables? For that you'd need a demodulator.

Thanks Paul, I put one of thos demodulators on my favorites list, I might order one soon. So after you hook it up you never get the snow screen thru the composite right?

Pelecan Accessories makes a switchbox for switching between cable, and AVS for hooking up multiple systems. That's what I use so I don't have to get behind the TV to hook up my classic cable systems. And it's only $20

yeah that is the same one that is at the site that paul mentioned. I think they wanted 50 for it and this one is only 45. Not much difference. I am seriously thinking about getting one of these though.
