Joypads

Recommended Posts

They usually go for about $15-20/pair. If you find them cheaper then cool 8)

There abnout $20 a pair, and work fine on any Atari. I use then on 2600 too because the joysticks are about dead.

in general, i prefer the joypads on the 7800 also. unfortunately, they do not have an autofire button :( . has anyone ever worn out one of these joypads? they seem very reliable and robust to me.

I just wish Best Electronics would do something about their web site. It's so cluttered and messy, it's hard to find things sometimes.

What do you mean the joysticks are about dead?

It means they're not working right. Don't you know anything about metaphors...

I mean most my controllers don't work anymore. I've taken quiet a few apart, but desoldering seems a lot to do just to clean a switch. Dome switches in the 2600's aren'te to good anyways. Most the problem I actually have is the plastic ring attached to the stick, the part that pushes the dome switches tends to break and then it's really hard to make it work.

Any Idea where you could buy just parts to a 2600 controller? Would it be worth it? Or should I just buy new....well....more controllers on Ebay or something?
