Goodwill Hunter #1 Posted October 15, 2003 Walked into my local Blockbuster tonight, and was met by this at the counter: Like 9 Holes of Xmas before it, this one was $5.00 as well, and looks to be a mini version of Outlaw Volleyball, set in Hell, with new skimpy outfits for the players. Here's the copy from the back: STOP DROP AND ROLL "CAUSE WHEN YOU PLAY WITH OUTLAWS YOU'RE PLAYING WITH FIRE! These red hot divas are too hot to handle. Get ready to bump, set and spike your way through a hell'uva good time. DISC INCLUDES: Hot 2 on 2 volleyball action in the pit of hell! So head on down to your local BB and snap this up RED HOT title up before it's hell and gone! Rich
norkusa #2 Posted October 15, 2003 I stopped by 4 Blockbusters today and NONE of them had these discs. I bet the stinkin' employees are snatching them all up for themselves and are ebaying them.

2600Lives #12 Posted October 16, 2003 Well, I grabbed the Matrix game for the GameCube today at my local BB, and lo and behold, they had a literal ton of them. I don't have an X-Box, though. Hehe. And the game looks to be really crappy. Anyway, why do us GameCubers get screwed!? All the cool stuff like this goes to the X-Box or the PS2! BAH! Oh, well, at least I can brag about getting Pac-Man Vs. free! Nyah, nyah!
Harry_Dodgson #13 Posted October 16, 2003 I got this yesterday and it just might be worth $5.00 after 20 years. By then I might be able to convince someone that it was a prototype for a real game. It has four main menu choices and it can't even get one of them right. The top two are swapped - pick one and you get the other. The bottom two are named properly, but the long description at the bottom of the screen is swapped between them. It is clearly a demo product as most of the options (like outfits) can't be selected. It's so low in features that you only get 1 tutorial. The rest can't be selected. (IMHO) Save your money and get a used copy of DOA Xtreme Volleyball instead. Admitted, a buggy program sucks, but it was only $5. Hell, the Mythicon games went for $9.99. Now *that* was a rip-off.
MegaManFan #15 Posted October 16, 2003 Yeah, how many times could you get ANY X-Box game, let alone a crappy one, for $5?
Clock #16 Posted October 16, 2003 Is this exclusive also Xbox Live compatible by any chance? that would be just so cool, I wonder if BB in the UK has them as well [Regrets ordering Pizza so can't leave house to check it out.]

ubersaurus #18 Posted October 16, 2003 As an exclusive and limited edition game, something tells me the value will go up in time. Maybe not too high (being that it sucks), but up nonetheless.
norkusa #19 Posted October 16, 2003 As an exclusive and limited edition game, something tells me the value will go up in time. Maybe not too high (being that it sucks), but up nonetheless. I doubt it will be worth that much. Blockbuster sold a special demo version of Outlaw Golf for Xbox last Christmas , and used copies of that only go for $8 or $9 on ebay. The same will probably be true for these Red Hot discs a year from now.
Starscream #20 Posted October 16, 2003 Yea it'll be worthless. Not too many modern games do I forsee as being remotely valuable ever
Starscream #21 Posted October 17, 2003 So yea, ummm, does anyone here wanna hook a brutha up with a few copies of these? Like maybe 4 copies? My $$'s good

Give it about 5, 10 years, when there's actually a community of collectors for the xbox, and then you'll have a better price for it.
Harry_Dodgson #24 Posted October 17, 2003 Yeah, how many times could you get ANY X-Box game, let alone a crappy one, for $5? For $5, I could rent two really good games for a week. I played this for less than an hour. If I had programmed this game, I would be doing the ostrich thing with my head buried in the dirt for letting such a simple thing as a menu get so screwed up. Again, this is just my opinion.
MegaManFan #25 Posted October 17, 2003 Heh, if it's really that bad, maybe I should just leave it in the shrinkwrap.
