Pitfall! International edition

Recommended Posts

People have this game, I have looked in old threads but nobody can really say how rare this game is, and I think it should atLEAST have an entry in the guide. It IS NTCS, not pal, so it should be put here as an offiacal label varient. agree?

International Edition carts are not that hard to come by. Every few months, someone comes along asking about them. I'd like to see them added to the guide, but I'm sure the Als are much more busy with more important projects at the moment. ;)

Was the International Editions sold in Canada? Then it can be too NTSC versions. But most they are only avaible in PAL. Or these are misslabled NTSC games.

Normaly the Canada Activision Games have English and French titles on the cartridge.

These games were also released in Canada with the International Edition labels with an N on the label. they are not a mislabel or misprint. I can confirm this because I have several of them. ;)

yes, there were several different labels and boxes released in canada. you can find both the english/french version of some titles (tennis/le tennis, boxing/la boxe, skiing/le ski, ice hockey/le hockey sur glace...i think that is all of them, am i missing any??) along with the "international" version with 2-5 languages, some have the "N" sticker. also, the english only version was sold in canada. all these were NTSC format.

the boxes were the regular US-style activision box, same box with a english/french sticker on top (ice hockey/le hockey sur glace) and the "international" box which is a little smaller and sometimes has a large multi-language sticker. and someboxes had the same small "N" sticker. lots of fun for variation collectors.
