Geeknout #1 Posted October 15, 2003 I guy I know had this video game system thingy. Some kind of pirate japanese rip-off. Said he got it at a computer show for around $25 or so. It was all in one controller that looked like an N64 controller. It plugged directly into the tv set. It was called "Joy Fun/ 78,000 games in one". Now I have seen the Activision and Atari version of this, but this thing had a variety of games from different systems. It had alot of NES games and alot of Atari 7800 games on it. The games on the main screen were listed starting with #1 through #78,000. I scrolled through them and noticed that there was probably only 50-100 games (alot of repeats over and over). Some of the games were in Japanese. Some of the games I had never heard of before. Some games were labeled wrong (the Pac-Man sure WAS NOT Pac-Man). Here are some of the titles on there: Super MarioWorld, Contra, Centipede, Joust, DK Jr., millipede, DigDug alot of Ninja games, baseball (I dont know what system), cant remember the rest Anyway, I thought it was kind of neat to be playing a 7800 game and switch to an NES game instantly. I dont know what other systems were on there, my time was limited. You guys seen one like this?

vanman #3 Posted October 16, 2003 I saw something like that but it was an actual console. It looked like an xbox with crossed lies on it. It had a yello demo cart in it with thirty or so nes games on it. I was playing Mario bros. It had wierd controllers and it was selling for 20 dollars. Does anyone know what this is? donkeykong1 #5 Posted October 16, 2003 There is also a system that looks like the Famicom and is green It too claims to have 1000's of games but just a few in reality. The one I really enjoyed was Streetfighter 2 NES. The system was purchased in Mexico as a gift from my mom. The name of the system is Rambo.

christianscott27 #7 Posted October 16, 2003 nothing but yet another "megajoy". these things used to be rarely seen on the US market but in the last two years they have popped up like mushrooms at flea markets and low rent retailers. its not really a 7800, those are the NES/FAMI versions of joust and so on. i started a collection of these controller multi systems and got 8 or so of them before the appeal wore off. types of megajoys- megajoys have been made to look like modern console controllers, esp the the N64 controller but i've also found them in dual shock and DC shells. often times these systems come with a light gun which looks a lot more like an actual gun than any mainstream device, unfailingly it uses a 2600 style 9 pin connection some megajoys look like consoles- the polystation is the most common flea market system, it looks sometimes like a large playstation and newer models look like PS1s. instead of a CD it has a slot for famicom carts, usually it will come with a brightly colored multi-cart some megajoys are themed- well just two that i know of, pelicans all color dreams machines and the elusive all wisdom tree bible game machine! the coolest and worst megajoy of all is the imfamous DR.BOY!, god that name kills me. the dr.boy looks just like a gameboy color and even has an awful built in LCD game, but it also hooks up to your TV for 100000 in 1 gameplaying action. all around awful. it does however come with a tiny gameboy cart sized famicom multicart and sometimes a pin adpt. to let you play real fami games thru it. Geeknout #8 Posted October 16, 2003 "its not really a 7800, those are the NES/FAMI versions of joust and so on." The DK Jr. game looked and played EXACTLY like the 7800. Ive never played DK jr. for the NES though. As far as joust, Galaga, Dig dug, etc. they also looked liked my 7800 games but again, Ive never played them on the NES so I cant comment for sure. The graphics seemed alot better than an NES game. Did they actually make DK JR for the fami/NES?
christianscott27 #9 Posted October 16, 2003 you bet they did, it was one of nintendo's in house arcade hits http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewI...bayphotohosting the joust is from HAL labs and its pretty good also. of course these are unlicensed pirate systems so i'm sure nintendo isnt getting any $ for it.
