Is the TV wire the same for 2600 as 7800?

Recommended Posts

I don't know the proper name for it but it is the wire that goes from the system into the switchbox. If so, I'd like to know where to get just the cord. The 7800 my grandmother has was modded to fit coaxial but the wire was pretty crappy and torn apart held by tape. We have an old switchbox that might be from her 2600 that she forgot to throw out with the system and games back in the day.

So basically is the wire the kind that will fit into the switchbox in the AA store?(switchbox looks exactly like what we have) If so, where can I get just the wire? I know I could get a whole system and use that but Ebay would be my only choice and I don't need another system so the shipping would be unneccessarily outrageous. I'd rather not wait til that Nov 2nd show either(the one in Boston if I can even get there that day)

Yes, they are the same. It's just a plain RCA male to male cable. Any electronics store will have them. You can even get them at places like Best Buy and Walmart.
