pal games on a us saturn system?

What do I need to be able to play pal/euro games on my us sega saturn system? Do they sell a boot disk or something?? or do I need a pal saturn?

You need a cart like the cd+ plus. There is also a 4? in one that has the gameshark, multi region adapter and 4 megs for carts that need them.

Be aware that some games are PAL optimized and will run too fast on a US Saturn. You would probably have to do some Googling on individual titles.

All PAL games will run %10-%12 faster on an ntsc machine. I was unaware it was a problem though? All my ntsc's play fine on my PAL machine.

The real problem is that, as I understand it, most PAL games are straight ports.

They aren't rewritten to run properly at PAL's lower refresh rate. Hence, PAL releases run slower than the same game in NTSC.

 

Big deal? In an action game, yes.

An effect I saw mentioned once was on TI computers. European gamers consistently got higher scores on many games(the hit arcade knock-off TI Invaders was mentioned by name).
