Nintendo Penguin #27 Posted October 30, 2003 I bought the game the day it game out, here is my verdict: First of all, screw gamespotand all of there reviews. I don't trust them anymore! The morons over there gave the GC Dragon's Lair a 5.4! Fools! That game was sweet! Not to mention the legions of other very decent games that they gave bad reviews! *spits on gamespot.com* Anyway, if you are a fan of the original arcade game, you are more than likely gonna like this game. It is a little monotonous, and is a bunch of mindless killing of shredder's lackys... but hey, that is a formula for success, right? The graphics are pretty sweet and look just like the new cartoon. The game still has an interactive environment like the original, such as firehydrents, exploding cars, and trash cans. Each turtle has some of his own unique moves and there are power-ups! Again, if you liked the original, then figure this game if about an 7.5 to an 8. If you don't like that kind of game, the it is a 4 or 5. If you are unsure, rent it first, but it is a must have for Turtles fans or fans of the original arcade game.
Jasoco #28 Posted November 2, 2003 I watched this game for a minute yesterday. Someone was playing it. I got sick after two seconds of hearing the turtle he was playing as (Leo I think) say the same damn thing over and over every god damn time he hit an enemy! OVER AND OVER!! I forget what it was, but he said it every time! 2 or 3 times a second! WHAT THE FUDGE? That's not helping their case with me any.
DuckandCover #29 Posted November 3, 2003 I downloaded the PC demo and found it pretty playable. It definitely reminded me of the old arcade games. The graphics are pretty to look at, they look just like the new cartoon. I'll probably end up purchasing it, in part because I enjoy a good beat 'em up game once in a while, and also because my five year old really digs the Turtles right now. vanman #30 Posted November 4, 2003 Venus.. the name is ringing a bell. I guess that must have been around the time I stopped watching Saturday morning cartoons. But the name Venus does ring a bell.. but I can't place it completely. Was her headband pink or something? Aw, hell, I don't remember. I tried to block the memory of the show completely and failed. Hmmm... guess I'll do a quick search myself. You've got me curious now. ... Here we go. She had her mask tied in a freakin' braid. Dear GOD, I forgot how stupid this show was. It was called Ninja Turtles: The Next Mutation. I remember this piss-poor attempt at reviving the franchise. They weren't teenages any more, so they were just Ninja Turtles, and their mutations were advancing as they grew older so each had some sort of stupid special power that showed up more or less at random; kind of like a Hulk effect. Anyways... more info at: http://www.fogu.com/nttnm/ And here she is in the flesh, so to speak... That picture reminds me of ABE from Oddworld
