How To Bump Your Feedback Up *Fast*

Recommended Posts

Yeah, I found someone selling recipies for .10 cents a piece. They were the seinfeld Soup Nazi recipeis. I bought one and he emailed me telling me not to pay, that it was just a way to get feedback. He left me feedback and I think I reported him. Well I got one free feedback anyway

It does suck just starting out on ebay. I've been selling junk for my brother from time to time and finally got him to open an account. Then he comes over to list some items yesterday and he can't used BIN's because he has less than 10 feedback :( But it won't be long eventually he will be able to list like that. Honestly you could still protect the item with a reserve or higher starting bid and use a shorter listing time 3 Day maybe, so the wait's not as long. There are alternatives to BINs.

Usually if it is something that I want to get a lot out of I put it on 10 day auction. I don't think I have ever used any of the smaller listings. like 1,3,and 5 day listings. Are the insertion fees less?

Honestly it's just a waste for the most part stretching out auctions. It depends on what you're selling to I guess, but most of your views come on the first & last day of the auction, just as there are so many listings, that alot of people check the new listings as they are coming up (for cheap BINs) and listings as they are ending, since you're not doing yourself any good bumping up the price with 4-6 days to go. 7 day auctions are ideal as they start & end on the same day, and you can pick a busy day/time like Sunday evening. 10 Day listings are good if you want 2 full weekends, and start it early in the week like on a Thursday and it will be up the full weekend, and the following weekend ending on Sunday night. But those take too damn long! :x I want my money yesterday! I like BIN, and wish people wouldn't bid sometimes give a newbie a chance to win it on that BIN! ;)

Kind of off topic,

The new immediate payment option on BIN I noticed only lets you ship to the US. I have posted a few with it, and had one guy email me who wanted to buy with a MO, so I had to revise it so he could use the BIN without immediately sending a payment. Then that crap messed up my other auctions on international bidders are asking if I ship to Canada, Austaria, etc, when I say contact me for total, but it changed my settings to US only without noticing.

Yeah, but if you buy them from the same person, they can leave you 10 feedbacks but your total only goes up by 1.
How? I bought about 10 games from someone and I got all the Feedbacks counted. And she got all my feedbacks counted.

The feedbacks get counted in your gross total, but only unique users get counted to your rating.

Eg. I have 133 positive feedbacks from 82 unique users, so my rating in 82.

If you always buy the same sort of thing (eg atari games) it becomes very difficult to improve your feedback because there are a finite number of people selling your chosen thing.

My feedback creeps up very slowly now because I nearly always buy from the same 10 or so people.

What IBP said.

Your total feedbacks and your feedback rating are different. The little number next to your name is what people notice first. I have well over 300 positives but only 287 count towards my feedback rating.

Shipping on those carts is $5 first one ...$2 every one after.

So 3 game.com carts won for .3 would cost you $9.03
