Inky #1 Posted November 3, 2003 1) Is it possible to program for the 2600 on the ST? 2) Is the 520 STFM manual available online somewhere?
V.R #2 Posted November 4, 2003 Inky I'm sure you could program the 2600 on an ST. Sice both systems deal heavily in assembly. I can't see why not. All you need is a 6502 compiler, which I think is available. Will be interesting to see if you get it to work. As for the manual, I wouldn't bother, as it only explains very basic things like inserting disks, formating and using GEM.
YarsRevengeFan #3 Posted November 14, 2003 I too was wondering this question. In fact, I was wondering if it was possible on any Atari home computer. Given the products available and neccessary to program for the 2600, can it be done? My thought was this: "Wouldn't it be cool to make a 2600 game on an Atari home computer?" Then, when I got to programming games, I could put on the outside box: "Made for the 2600 on an Atari ###-XXX computer.
