Kid got bad grades, I got a GBA SP....lol

Recommended Posts

Well you can't give a kid a good beatin' anymore so you have to hit em where it really hurts...The Gameboy!

My kid decided to show her ass and goof off this past semester, so I decided I would take care of the GBA SP that she treasures for a little while...first order of business was to go purchase the NAMCO Arcade and I think Midway classics...whatever the title was it was about the only classic games not of the Mario variety at the local Wal mart and I got both for under $30 total...so..I was pretty happy...one has Frogger,Scramble, Gyruss, Ye-Air Kung Fu, Russian Assault and maybe one other game on it...the other (NAMCO) has DigDug, Ms Pacman, Galaga, Galaxian, and Pole Position...which is not so great without a steering wheel...anyway...for $30 I have been burining up the little GBA SP for the past few days and it's quite fun...If any of you have kids that need an attitude adjustment, take away the GBA SP for a while and have a little fun on your own in the process...much less stress and more effective than just yelling at your kid for being a lug nut.

wow, it really shows that there are more female gamers when taking away their systems away is a punishment to them. This is a great step in bridging the gap and I salute you! (mostly because this upgrades my status with the ladies bwuhahah!)

When I was a kid, I had my SNES taken away (and hidden under my parents bed) and my copy of Dark Forces taken away. It was pretty effective as punishment...for a while. The less I played games the less I missed it, I became more productive and my creative pursuits were always put first. Then I'd get the game back--and I would just start over again, playing non-stop. Sometimes I wish someone would take my systems away NOW, I might get some work done. :) ;)

Take away my laptop for the same reason then. I've been ducking writing reviews of crappy rap albums by lingering around here for the past couple of hours.

My parrents did that when I was younger...for a while. Then they started wondering why my grades started going back down. If only they had known then that I went out and simply bought another system which I played at school since I wasn't allowed to play at home. lol

Bah! We don't have any kids... I bought an SP for me! Those arcade collections are cool (especially the Konami one). I'd never played Time Pilot before I bought the Konami collection, and now I'm wondering where it's been all my life.

Anybody have a Time Pilot arcade machine I can buy? :D

I got my HUGE collection of Lego's taken away once. For a few months. I had completely forgotten about them until one day Mom brought the huge box out again and I was in Heaven.

Shortly after, I lost interest in them.

FUCK!

I could be having SOOO much fun with Lego's right now.

I mean, LOOK at what some people DO with them!

It's all Relative

Up and Down and Up and Down... actually, just Down in a circle.

It's like a certain Nintendo Star Wars series done in Lego form!

Marty! You GOTTA come BACK with me!

And God said, Let there be Bricks!

See? I could be doing THAT! Lego's were really fun. Then one day I just.. lost interest. And my imagination.
