Zeus #1 Posted November 4, 2003 This low feedback seller is selling all these Spectravideo carts. I'm a bit suspicious because of the low feedback and the very generic looking pictures. Do you guys think it is legit? http://cgi.ebay.ca/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewIt...8&category=3528 http://cgi.ebay.ca/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewIt...2&category=3528 http://cgi.ebay.ca/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewIt...7&category=3528 http://cgi.ebay.ca/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewIt...4&category=3528
sku_u #2 Posted November 4, 2003 Since the seller accepts Paypal, I wouldn't worry about it too much. You can do a chargeback if the game is not received by day 27 or so.
Mindfield #4 Posted November 4, 2003 Just remember that PayPal doesn't guarantee the recovery of funds. However they do at least have a process by which buyers can be protected by some means from errant sellers, so it still works to your favour.
Zeus #5 Posted November 4, 2003 I don't think I'll bother bidding too much. I already have a Gas Hog, with I got cheaper than that, Bumper Bash is already above my price ceiling, Nexar is intruiging and so is China Syndrome. I'm hoping to get most of the Spectravideo collection eventually over time. I don't hold out much hope for Mangia, unless I get lucky and find one in the wild. In which case, I'll buy a lottery ticket!

You're guaranteed 100% back if you pay through Paypal by credit card by contacting your credit card company within a reasonable time unless the laws are different in Canada. holygrailvideogames.com #7 Posted November 4, 2003 I am almost positive that PayPal's buyer protection does not apply to transactions with sellers outside of the U.S. The problem with a chargeback is that since the credit card company paid PayPal directly (and not the seller), the credit card company will then go after PayPal for the funds. And guess what? The user agreement that you have agreed to with PayPal states that PayPal can then go after you to get their money back. Basically this means that the buyer would be screwed over.
