SpendTooMuchOnAtari #1 Posted November 9, 2003 youpaymybills: youpaymybills: Why is my feedback always 1 ahead of itself? My feedback rating is always 1 more than the actual unique users rating. For instance, it is 829 postives and 701 are from unique users right now but my rating is 702. WHY? Your chat session has started.. Vila: Thank you for waiting, my name is Vila. Please give me just one moment to read your question. youpaymybills: http://cgi2.ebay.com/aw-cgi/eBayISAPI.dll?...d=youpaymybills Vila: It looks like someone may have left a feedback Vila: the score card has updated. youpaymybills: What? Vila: but the feedback summary is behind. youpaymybills: No way, that is not possible. My feedback has been this way for months now. youpaymybills: You could refresh the page in a couple hours and it would be exactly the same. Vila: always one ahead? youpaymybills: Exactly youpaymybills: Always. Vila: You are the first person I have heard be unhappy with an extra feedback point. youpaymybills: This may look "fishy" to people viewing my feedback and I don't like it. Vila: Most people don't look that far youpaymybills: I don't care how far you think people look, friggin' fix it! Vila: Let's have you write in to the technical staff. youpaymybills: Or put a supervisor on so we can figure this out. Vila: So they can pinpoint this problem Vila: The technical team are the people who fix the feedback. youpaymybills: eBay Live is such a big help. (EYE ROLL) Vila: We are limited in what we are allowed to do. Vila: adjusting or fixing accounts is not something we are allowed to mess with. youpaymybills: But you can't explain it? Vila: It looks like a technical bug. Vila: Your feedback should be at 701 I know, it's a lot to go through and confusing but this eBay Live shit is a joke! They can't do anything! jetset #2 Posted November 9, 2003 Honestly though, I wouldn't notice the discrepancy in your feedback and/or think it looked suspect. I'd be impressed enough with all the positives it would go right over my head. It's your username that would turn me off.
CPUWIZ #3 Posted November 9, 2003 Your feedback is fishy, it seems to be one ahead all the time, I don't think I'll be bidding on any of your stuff.

Funny, I have had people email from "out-of-the-blue" stating that they loved my user ID. They didn't even bid on or win any of my auctions. What turns you off about it? Don't want to pay my bills? Well..... I don't either!
SpendTooMuchOnAtari #5 Posted November 9, 2003 Your feedback is fishy, it seems to be one ahead all the time, I don't think I'll be bidding on any of your stuff. I have told you many times not to bid on my stuff anyway, I know you like to rub yourself down with all of my Philosophy items but that has got to stop. Vaseline is just as good and not quite as expensive....PLUS, no shipping on Vaseline, it's available at your local pharmacy.
bjk7382 #6 Posted November 9, 2003 I have always had good luck with Live Help. I just go on there and bitch about peoples listings. And I have had them actually "do" things. Like end listings that are prohibited or just move stuff that should have been in the matrue section. It sounds like you need to just sign back on to live help until you get some of the people I talk to. They always bend over backwards to help me. I don't want any of these jerks bending any-which-way for me....they should stay upright so I can knock them in the head.

jetset #11 Posted November 9, 2003 Not yet....I've yet to sell on ebay. Don't know why, I've spent more than enough $$ buying. Probably just aprehensive a little..
bjk7382 #12 Posted November 9, 2003 @ jetset516 - You shouldn't be aprehensive about selling. Just do it smart, not like all of those "other" new sellers are doing. A few tips -state shipping up front or use the postage calculator in your listings -you should have a strong description -and if it isn't a big priced item, don't use a reserve. (I hate seeing 30.00 items with reserve prices on them) Other than that, go for it. It is soooo easy
gamerz #13 Posted November 9, 2003 and also...some people hate it when shipping charges are too high
bjk7382 #14 Posted November 10, 2003 What do you mean "some people" EVERYONE hates overpaying for shipping. I have never quoted a shipping charge and 99 percent of the time I am very close. I am always very fair and on a few occasions I had to use part of the auction money to go with shipping. Not as big of deal as some sellers make it. When they start charging Handling charges. Everyone HATES those too. It shouldn't cost you money to pick things up and package them. That is part of the fun of ebay. If you don't like moving product, don't sell on ebay. SpendTooMuchOnAtari #20 Posted November 10, 2003 numerous atari manual auctions and I paid the electric and gas bills that month By the way, I used to live in Central PA....Lebanon which is near Hershey. You wouldn't believe all of the Atari items I found at sales there. Unfortunately, I wasn't a collector at that time and sold everything on eBay under the name(S)... mr.noreserve outofstep and a couple others I can't even remember. CENTRAL PA Rocks for Atari games!
