SpendTooMuchOnAtari #1 Posted November 10, 2003 http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewI...6&category=3528 I hate when people quote from AA as to the rarity of a game and then choose to exagerate it. I guess it could be an honest mistake.... I don't know, that "9" next to WaterWorld is plain as day to me on the site....this guy sees it as a "10". UK WOMBLE #2 Posted November 10, 2003 Even a '9' seems a little strong, this game is always on ebay it seems..... I think the AA rarity rating is generous for this one. Si
ATARIPITBULL #3 Posted November 10, 2003 About three years ago this person might have been able to say this because there were not a lot of people selling there waterworld and it was hard to get, but lots of Waterworlds show up on ebay that even a 9 might be a little too much, maybe an 8 would be better. Spirantho #4 Posted November 10, 2003 I would agree wholeheartedly but for the fact I own a copy. Ergo it should be promoted to 10 immediately. (Actually, I agree - 8 at most for WaterWorld.. though I wonder which is the scarcer label variation - red background or orange background like mine...) homerwannabee #5 Posted November 10, 2003 I own combat, frogger, donkey kong, and E.T. ergo these should be lifted to rarity 10 immediatley

wrldstrman #8 Posted November 11, 2003 Wonder what would happen if AA and DP took the rarity ratings off the sites for a while. Most all members already know what games they want to collect.I may be totaly wrong but I think the guys here at atari age started this site because they enjoy collecting and want to share things with fellow collectors.I dont think they intended to make a way for people whos sole reason for grabbing up every atari game the can find is to sell for big profits by using AA rarity guide to drive up prices. Obleix is a good example I think if it wasnt rated a ten it would sell for about the same as polaris or subterranea. I would just like to see the serious atari fans be able to build up their collections without having to go broke doing so making someone else rich.. SpendTooMuchOnAtari #10 Posted November 15, 2003 Just saw this update the seller added, I thought the reference to the "RED" is funny. On Nov-14-03 at 10:38:42 PST, seller added the following information: A ebay user pointed out the rating on AtariAge is 9-Extremely Rare for Swordquest Waterworld. Both 9 and 10 rated cartridges are "red" or almost impossible to find.
CPUWIZ #11 Posted November 15, 2003 Red rating = I look at it that way too.
