I never remember the names for the different types of 3DO's, but I'd say the best is the original tray-loading type (FZ-10 I think it's called? I forget). They're stackable, they integrate well with VCR's/stereo's etc, and they're built like tanks.

There really aren't any generations of 3DO's. They were just made by different companies. The FZ10 model is the best one. The Goldstars have a problem where the CD tray wont open and I think they have less RAM.
