SpendTooMuchOnAtari #1 Posted November 12, 2003 http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewI...8&category=3528 Great Googly Moogly! And, they live in my city. This is going to greatly reduce the price of TCM.

holygrailvideogames.com #7 Posted November 12, 2003 The thing is once these 10 are sold it is very likely that the buyer will be selling these off. The value of this game just went down.
UK WOMBLE #8 Posted November 12, 2003 The thing is once these 10 are sold it is very likely that the buyer will be selling these off. The value of this game just went down. Good for those of us who don't already have it, bad for those of you who bought it recently........ I wonder what it will go for ? Any ideas ? I was thinking of emailing the seller to see if he will make an exception on the shipping...... But, if I do bid, it will push the price up, and if I dont win and am lucky enough to buy one from the winner, it may be more expensive......its a puzzle One thing though, lets not let the ebay resellers get these, I think you know who I'm talking about...................These should be bought by those of us on here, who actually collect the things, rather than just for resale value..... holygrailvideogames.com #9 Posted November 12, 2003 I emailed the seller to ask if they were originals, but he has yet to email me back. I am happy to see that someone has 10 of them. I would like to get Texas Chainsaw Massacre for my collection, but I haven't wanted to spend a $80-$120 for it. Maybe now I will be able to get one for less. bjk7382 #10 Posted November 12, 2003 I need a copy too. But if the buyer of these was smart he would put them up on ebay one at a time spaced apart by a week or more. That way the demand would stay high on it and also the price wouldn't be incredibly low when they all ended. Because if you list 10 rare things in a row. The demand won't be as high for the last few if you don't space them out.
Tempest #11 Posted November 12, 2003 Yeah I need one of those as well. I don't know why he didn't sell them individually. It's also strange to see labeless TCM's, I thought only Halloween came like that. Tempest

adams_ale #13 Posted November 12, 2003 I'm the high bidder on the single TCM on ebay but have night class and can't stay around to see if I win it. I almost wish I wasn't locked into the auction for the single cart because it would seem the price is going to go down. Oh well....I tell myself that I wouldn't be one of the people on the list to get a cheaper cart. Unless the person who wins this auction for the ten TCM carts is very nice(mainly in regards to a non-AA member) I don't see why it would be in their interest to sell the carts cheap when they can space it out and keep the price high. I'm not hoping for that to happen though as it would be great for an especially nice AA member(assuming they win) to make TCM carts more accessible to those who have waited for so long to own it but couldn't throw out the large bills. It would seem like the price could be around 50 dollars a cart but that is only a hopeful guess for those who would like to buy it. I guess we'll just have to see what the final price is and who is the winner. I'm not mad or jealous; I hope someone gets a better deal than what I'm about to pay! It's not that I'm mother teresa but I can't wait any longer to own my personal copy! Well good luck, gotta go.
Dolt #14 Posted November 12, 2003 I have a hard time believing they're all originals. I wish you guys luck but even if I had the money to jump in on this, I wouldn't. If it's too good to be true.... FWIW, his stating, "I found them in a box in the back room" reminds me of an article that Film Threat ran a long time ago reviewing a 6-hour bootleg edition of Apocalypse Now. In it, they wrote something like, "so, where did we get it? We found it over there, behind the couch. It was the darndest thing!"
atari_sammysue #15 Posted November 12, 2003 Well i suspect they will bring over 800.00. So i am going to make the winner pay well for them and if i win them thats fine and dandy.
holygrailvideogames.com #16 Posted November 12, 2003 I wouldn't pay $800 for them. For one, they could be fake. For two, half of them don't even have labels. And finally, if this guy has 10 of them to sell, who is to say he doesn't have another 100 to sell.

hhwolfman #24 Posted November 13, 2003 The price on this lot should be $350 to $450 the lables arent that nice and some have no labels. So if you want to go over that, you never will get your money back out of it. Some could not work too. Still a cool lot.
