vanman #1 Posted November 15, 2003 Has anyone played ishido? Hand held alchemy. Pure genus
ozyr #2 Posted November 15, 2003 Yes, I've played it. To be honest, I really don't care for it. Not 100% sure why, but I find it rather boring....

Gregory DG #4 Posted November 15, 2003 Shanghai gets my vote as most addicting Lynx game. Gameby has Tetris, Lynx has Shanghai... (I know there's a GB Shanghai.)
Songbird #5 Posted November 15, 2003 For me, it's a toss up between California Games and Crystal Mines II (with Buried Treasure, of course ). Surfing on Cal Games is some of the best fun I've ever had on the Lynx, and multiplayer "combat surfing" is an experience every Lynx fan should try! CM2, OTOH, is wonderful fun and frustratingly addicting, both at the same time. There's nothing like seeing the exit appear after 10 minutes of hard work to finish the level, only to get crushed by a rock or gobbled by a baddie! +davidcalgary29 #6 Posted November 15, 2003 Loopz, Klax, and Rampart are all up there at the top, as well.
Xot #7 Posted November 15, 2003 No question, for me it's Klax. I just keep coming back to it over and over again no matter how many other cool Lynx games I get. Klax is NEVER far from the cartridge port. I also find myself inexplicably drawn to RoboSquash as well.
vanman #8 Posted November 15, 2003 For me, it's a toss up between California Games and Crystal Mines II (with Buried Treasure, of course ). Surfing on Cal Games is some of the best fun I've ever had on the Lynx, and multiplayer "combat surfing" is an experience every Lynx fan should try! ! California games is the best! I only like the 2600 and lynx versions. But they are my favorite games of all time. The surfing on the 2600 is fun once you get used to it though. Clock #9 Posted November 15, 2003 I think Ishido is one of the best games on the Lynx - read my review in the review thread most addicting game is Chip's Challenge imo.
cryptik76 #10 Posted November 15, 2003 For me it's Klax, Rampart, and Qix. I like Robo-squash a lot, too. I'm not sure why it's so unpopular.

Atari Smeghead #15 Posted November 16, 2003 I'd have to go along with the puzzle games as being the ones that hook me for the longest periods of time. First, it was Shanghai. Then, Klax and Blockout. Now, Loopz rarely leaves my Lynx.
Pocket #16 Posted November 16, 2003 Klax, Rampart
Rocko #17 Posted November 16, 2003 I have a lynx, but all I have is "California games".
Mendon #18 Posted November 16, 2003 Shanghai, T-tris, Ms. Pac-Man, Klax, Rampart, and Scrapyard Dog; I can play any of these for looooong periods of time and never get bored with them. Mendon
bergbros2 #19 Posted November 16, 2003 It is interesting because you would never really associate Atari with puzzle games as they are known for their arcade conversions but I agree the Lynx probably has the best puzzle games out of any handheld system. I agree, that Shanghai and Chips Challenge are utterly addicting and have almost endless replay value. Shanghai in particular because of the variations of the starting board. I also put in a vote for Xenophobe which I find utterly absorbing.
