Silver Hangman Rarity?

Recommended Posts

Yes, I am interested because I just got the Silver Hangman in the mail today. :P So, does anyone have an opinion of what rarity number this cart would be if it was entered in the AA rarity database?

How many of you have this one? ( I realize that most don't collect label variations but I am one of them )

On another note, what about this weird looking Pele's Soccer? This one was also in the same auction as the Hangman so am just curious about it.

Below is pics of the two games. 8)

Oh yeah, I realize that I have a crappy digital camera. ;)

Check out the giant list for the Pele's Soccer ;)

Hangman silver is no more rare than Yars' Revenge Red Label NTSC.

I've got that Pele's Soccer myself. Obviously a late edition reprint. I can't tell if it's 100% the same due to the blurry photo, but mine has a copyright date of 1986.

What giant list for Pele's? :?

And.....

I guess I paid way too much for these if the silver hangman isn't very rare. Oh well. :)

I haven't seen many of them though. And, speaking of the Yars NTSC red label, I am searching for that one as well. What's a good price to pay if I come accross one?

Mine is copyrighted 1988. :)

I'd say the Hangman is about a 6 or a 7, I believe it's harder to find than the red label NTSC Yars. :)

This is also a good reference for weird label variations:

Wow, thanks for that link to the label variations. I didn't even know that it was here on the site. However, I didn't see the Hangman silver variation there.

I think Hangman is mentioned at the Atariguide website, but, like Sears Superman picture label, wasn't a documented label variation until recently. That's what makes collecting these variations fun :D

I'll admit, I had never seen one of those carts, ever, until someone posted it in September.. and then while hunting today...

Now... have we hashed out the rarity on this yet? :D

I'd still call it at least a "5" and possibly a "6".

if my memory serves correctly ( who knows if it does) one of the very original members told me it might be nothign more than boot leg or end of the atari printing run right before ti was a pulled title
