If you would spend $1000 on any atari game what would it be?

Recommended Posts

I'm not talking rare though, just say, someone came and took all of your collection and said you could keep one for a thousand dollars (I know none of us would pay it but this is all theoretical) . Just for fun lets say that all other atari games were stolen by frogs and eaten by monkies so that you cant go out and buy it again. Mine would be either video olympics or combat.

I think I would have to say Raiders of the Lost Ark, I have always loved that game.

:ponder: :)

If I had $1000.00 to use to buy an Atari game, I'd buy an Asteroids Coin-Op Arcade machine.

You should be able to get TWO Asteroids machines for $1000. :D I got my cocktail table for $550 at a live auction.

But I have to be honest... if someone took away all of my 2600 carts and said I could keep one of them, but I'd have to pay $1000 for it, I'd tell them to just take it. As much as I love them, I don't think any of them are worth that much.

I'd keep Adventure. Of course, I also have the Adventure Plus hack cart (which totally rules, btw), so it'd probably be a toss up between those. If nothing else, I'd still get to scream "Somebody get this freakin' duck away from me!" at the screen when a dragon chases me.

If that happened, I'd look elsewhere instead. They can keep 100 ET carts, they'd have to pay to get rid of just one anyway.

Seriously, I'd probably keep Adventure.

Of my games? None.

Of any game? If I had $1000 to blow on a game, I could see paying that for a working 2600 Turbo prototype (if one exists).

But only because I'm pretty certain I could make my money back on it. :)
