Mr.FoodMonster #4 Posted November 24, 2003 Hah, I originaly thought that when I was a kid, But isnt there 6 games on the cart or somthing?
Nukey Shay #5 Posted November 24, 2003 Yep...IIRC there are 2 variations of whack-a-mole, 2 of a missile-shooting game, and 2 of a tetris-type game. Superscope is a piece of crap IMO...they should have stuck with the handgun.
Mindfield #6 Posted November 24, 2003 It's six games on one cart. Two missile shooting variants, three Tetris-style variants, and a Whack-a-Mole (or should that be "Cap-a-Mole?") game. Not very stellar games, but at least there's variety. The scope gets tiresome to use after a few minutes, though.
Nukey Shay #7 Posted November 24, 2003 Thx...just remembered about Tetris. And I agree about holding up that bazooka...much less freedom than a regular lightgun. Imagine Duck Hunt with a Superscope Not much fun at all. Um...watch out for that wordplay please. There are kids around here.
A2600 #8 Posted November 24, 2003 Thanks Guys for the Info I rember as a kid seeing the scope, and it was soo cool!! Then in 1994 My dad bought me Some Game that utilized the scope, but I couldt use it because I didnt have the scope!! Having the super scope cart would be a waste or are there not that many available??
Mr.FoodMonster #9 Posted November 24, 2003 I never had a problem playing that game for hours on end, I usaly just played the missle one, it was a LOT better then the others. The tetris one was fun a few times, and the cap a mole was alright for awhile. I guess its just personal preference.
A2600 #10 Posted November 24, 2003 So its worth picking up?? The game my father gave me was one where you fought robots with your scope!
Mindfield #11 Posted November 24, 2003 It's a cool novelty, but not a very practical one. Holding on your shoulder, constantly keeping one eye closed (unless you can aim through an eyepiece without doing so) and not being able to see the whole screen at once all make it cumbersome to play with and downright impossible for extended sessions. It might have been cool back in the day 'cos it simulated a bazooka-type experience, but practicality suggests a good ol' light gun, instead. Besides, I don't think too many games were made that took advantage of it.
Mr.FoodMonster #12 Posted November 24, 2003 So its worth picking up?? The game my father gave me was one where you fought robots with your scope! I got that game on an emulator, dont remember what its called now, its on the other computer. I think it was japanesse, but I guess I am wrong. If you can find it cheap enough, I say go for it. Ze_ro #13 Posted November 24, 2003 Does anyone have a list of games that are compatible with the Super Scope 6? I've seen the SS6 around a couple of times, and I've seen the 6-in-1 cartridge MANY times, but I never figured it was worthwhile. --Zero
JB #14 Posted November 24, 2003 So its worth picking up?? The game my father gave me was one where you fought robots with your scope! Battle Clash or Metal Combat. One of those 2. And no knoking the SuperScope. It made a really cool prop for the Mario Brothers movie.

A2600 #17 Posted November 25, 2003 I remember hearing about a racing game that was compatable with the Super Scope...How can you drive holding a bazooka? American Lamboghini Challenge by TATIO ALSO... Picked up the SuperScope6 Cart as a trade with a friend for a Genesis cart (Bulls Versus Blazers And The NBA Playoffs)
Xot #18 Posted November 25, 2003 Also X-Zone and Yoshi's Safari. Were Revolution X and/or Terminator 2: The Arcade game compatible with it? I seem to remember T2 using it but RX not.
joeybastard #19 Posted November 25, 2003 I have the cart that came with it but no gun. I'm hoping to find pne after Xmas.
ussexplorer #20 Posted November 25, 2003 A fews years back right after I picked up my used SNES system I ran into a super scope. I put it on my sholder and couldn't get it to fit well and thought. What a peice of sh*t. Do they think everybody in the world is 5ft or a kid. So I passed it up without a problem. Laters......
figgler #21 Posted September 23, 2004 I just found one of these and I'm anxious to give it a whirl. As far as I know there are 9 compatible games in total, so now I'll have something new to hunt for I love ligth gun play on the NES (even though I suck ass), so I'm hoping this'll freshen up the experience a bit. I'm pretty worried about battery consumption and the infrared sensor though. This could prove most problematic as all of my systems are hooked up on the other side of the room from the TV and I'm gatherng the sensor ought to be right on the telly, so we'll see. Who's played Yoshi's Safari? Any good? So far I've got the 6-in 1 cart only.
Raijin Z #22 Posted September 23, 2004 Meh, I have a boxed Super Scope, but it was just the gun package, not the one that came with Superscope 6.
joeybastard #23 Posted September 23, 2004 Meh, I have a boxed Super Scope, but it was just the gun package, not the one that came with Superscope 6. PM me your address, I'll happily send you the cart for free. It's useless to me with out the gun.
Raijin Z #24 Posted September 23, 2004 Thanks, but no thanks, Superscope 6 is truly so annoying that I don't even want it for free.
glitch #25 Posted September 23, 2004 The one thing that the super scope does have over the NES style light guns is that it works w/ my LCD monitor. I assume any other gun that has a reciever instead of reading the screen would work also but that's the only one that I have.
