liveinabin #2 Posted November 28, 2003 I very much doubt it.
Adrian M #3 Posted November 28, 2003 Extremely doubtful. It only costs $49.99...about the price of a new game. Consumers are comfortable with this price point and given the fact that the GB Player is fairly new, the chances of Nintendo dropping the price for the long term is low. herr professor #4 Posted November 28, 2003 This week's best buy circular has a "generic" gameboy player for the cube. Im pretty sure its the same as this: http://www.lik-sang.com/news.php?artc=3164
SS #5 Posted November 28, 2003 This week's best buy circular has a "generic" gameboy player for the cube. Im pretty sure its the same as this: http://www.lik-sang.com/news.php?artc=3164 Nintendos original Gameboy Player is not based on Software, it is a "real" Gameboy Advance system in a case plugging in to the extension port of the GameCube. Because of this it also plays Gameboy and Gameboy Color games -- the Datel version doesn't. It's a pure Gameboy Advance Player. No thanks, I'll stick with the real thing. Jasoco #6 Posted November 29, 2003 Good choice. I wouldn't get that generic one. Even if I do prefer to play my older games on my Super NES instead.
chrisbid #7 Posted November 29, 2003 the only thing i can see happening is that they include a game with the package, not likely anytime soon though...
ElephantStyle #8 Posted November 29, 2003 My local walmart still has the cube/gb player bundle packs left in stock. Not bad price too, at $158 Can... considering the gbplayer itself is like $70 Can
Raijin Z #9 Posted November 29, 2003 DOes the GB Player come with a set of screws to lock it to the bottom of the Gamecube?

Jasoco #11 Posted November 29, 2003 They are built in, silly. It's one piece. (Three.. four if you count the disc, case and cover.. oh, and booklet.. 5. Anyway, it's basically two actual parts. And it's all built in. You only need take off port cover and snap it on. Tighten the screws and it's all done.

Video #15 Posted November 30, 2003 I doubt Nintendo will be dropping the price of GameBoy Player any time soon. GameBoy is one of Nintendo's best selling items ever, it's one of the few things they make money on regularly, so I doubt they'll drop prices unless it's just selling poorly.
