Tyrant #1 Posted November 28, 2003 Hi all, I've been trying to rememer for ages where my copy of the ST Speech simulator is, I think I either had it from an STFormat cover disk or perhaps some random pd disk somewhere hehe... either way the point is I cant find it and I was hoping someone here would be able to send it to me or post a link, plz . It had the classic ST voice, I think the same source was used for a great many things, including a speaking clock, but this program was a simple implimentation which had just a green gem screen which you entered text into and it would say it and output the phonetic version of the text too, and then once you reached the bottom of the screen it would just scroll up white (ie the green background wasnt maintained). Should anyone know where I can find it again (or even which disk(s) it was on, since I have it on disk somewhere, just cant remember where), I'd be a very happy bunny. +Sauron #2 Posted November 28, 2003 I remember having that exact same program too. I'll have to sort through my disks and see if I still have it. I believe I got my copy from AACE user group library, although it may have been on an ST Format cover disk, too.

belboz #4 Posted December 4, 2003 http://fine-lines.artiverse.net/pub/atari-ST/sound/ Google is your friend. Typed a search for "stspeech atari" and got tons of hits. First hit was to a PDF that discussed it, but the second and third and so on links were to places that had it.

Tyrant #7 Posted December 5, 2003 Thanx, but its the core engine (ie the way it sounds) that's the important bit, and you've found it for me already
