Here is something new, I need HELP!!

Recommended Posts

I won four auctions from a ebay seller and I paid for each item, but the seller sent all the money back and say's he want's the payment sent in one lump sum. I went back to ebay and my listing shows the auctions as not paid. Can paying for 4 auctions at once be done and not screw me over? I have never had a seller ask me to do this before!!

:ponder: :? :?

I dont think its a problem, usually when I win more than 1 off the same seller they create a single bill with a invoice listing all items to be paid through paypal. This is usually accessed when clicking on paynow on any of the said items in my ebay page.

IF, the seller has bothered to do a total invoice, otherwise you just add them all onto 1 auction total, or just go into paypal account and do it manually, as it offers for you to put more than 1 item number in when paying for 'ebay goods'.

Can't see how its any less safe than the usual way of doing things on paypal, plus it saves the seller a few pence on paypal fees, which maybe why he sent your money back.

I may be wrong, I usually am...... :ponder:

When I win more than one item from a seller that accepts Paypal, I sign onto Paypal.com and select Send Money and then select Pay For eBay Items. This results in a list of recent items I have won that I haven't paid for using Paypal. When I select one of the two or more items I have won from the same seller eBay gives an invoice for all the items from that seller. You may have to add the shipping to this total.

This method also works when buying one item from a seller when Pay Now on the listing isn't working.

The seller would probably like to save Paypal fees, which is normal. When paying, simply add up the total cost of everything and put that where you'd put the price, select Ebay auction, and where it says auction ID, list each ID and separate each with a comma. You'll have to manually put the huy's email address in unless he sent you a multiple item invoice.

Make sure you enter the correct total for shipping as well.

As a seller I prefer to only accept one PayPal payment because I can then combine all of the packages into one package. It is a lot easier to send out one package than to send out 4-5. If a buyer buys 4-5 items and pays for each item separate then I have to ship each item out separate in order to qualify for the seller protection. This also allows me to pass on a shipping discount to the buyer.

As a buyer I prefer to send only one payment on multiple purchases because most sellers will offer a shipping discount on combined purchases.

I would ask the seller for a combined shipping discount. If he wants to send everything together, he should be willing to pass at least some of the savings onto you.

You can pay for multiple ebay items with one payment by putting the item numbers is the paypal item field. You need to seperate them with commas and it will the treat as one item.

It can also be done by going to PayPal and click on send money, then click on "pay for ebay items" tab. PayPal will them check ebay and present you with consolidated items from a seller.

You should ask the seller for a discout on combined shipping since he is also saving PayPal fees.

If you go to paypal, and under the send money tab, there will be a thing that says "Pay for ebay items" and they will combine them all there. You usually need to get a combined shipping price from the seller though

It isn't good for the seller, because every payment they get, paypal takes a cut, more than if one payment is sent.

If they're willing to combine shipping and ship all of the auctions together to save you money, then I see no problem with paying them all in one transaction. However, I had someone try this with me, they wanted me to pay one payment for 2 auctions to save $ on their PayPal fees, but wanted to charge full shipping for each auction. No way jose.

I did this recently with several CIB Epyx games.

I BIN'ed them and then sent an email to the seller asking what the combined total would come to. He sent back a total with shipping.

Then, I went to Paypal and clicked on Send Money. I entered all 3 auction numbers (3 games) and then entered the full total and sent him the payment.

It's as easy as that. I've never had a problem with this.

It saves time instead of paying for each item separately.

I do this whenever I win multiple auctions from the same seller. I just get him to send me an invoice with the total for everything including shipping and then just go to PayPal, send the seller the total payment with each of the auctions listed in the provided box, comma-separated.
