Brad2600 #2 Posted November 30, 2003 The fact that he put a reserve on it, means that he obviously wants to make more off it than what he probably paid. He probably got it from the AtariAge store. Hmm.

Brad2600 #7 Posted November 30, 2003 No matter what anyone does for the Atari community, including releasing homebrews/hacks, there will always be scumbags out there looking for a quick buck. That is why I do not buy homebrews or hacks on Ebay. Why do so when the AtariAge store offers them for better prices?
Albert #8 Posted November 30, 2003 It is very unfortunate that he is misrepresenting this auction by saying describing it as an "ULTRA RARE CARTRIDGE". He has both Pac-Man Arcade and Space Invaders Arcade described in similar fashion. Judging by where the seller is located, it would appear that these were literally just purchased from the AA store a few days ago (they were the only two games purchased by this individual). The seller also claims, "I have a couple of these but will only offer this single copy to share with the lucky winning bidder." But if it's the same person who bought the games from our store, it is the only purchase they have ever made. ..Al
Brad2600 #9 Posted November 30, 2003 IS there any way you can restrict resale of items purchased from the AA store? Well at least he did not mention AtariAge or you would have grounds for having a little talk with him.
Albert #10 Posted November 30, 2003 IS there any way you can restrict resale of items purchased from the AA store? No, and I don't really care if people want to buy items and resell them elsewhere. I only take issue at the description of the auction where the seller is attempting to make these two games sound "ULTRA RARE" so he can trick someone into coughing up the $100 BIN. Well at least he did not mention AtariAge or you would have grounds for having a little talk with him. If he mentioned AtariAge, then at least someone may have gone to the site to see that these games can be purchased for $20 and $15 (Pac-Man and Space Invaders, respectively). ..Al
Brad2600 #11 Posted November 30, 2003 I would pick up either game myself but I would not use EBay to do so. As I said, there are lots of crooks out there on EBay. It's unfortunate and it exists in every hobby.
ATARIPITBULL #12 Posted November 30, 2003 It's not the first time!! about 5 months ago or so, a person was selling the Atariage Venture hack as a rare game, but he started the biding at $10.00 and I think one person won it for $11.00. Even the picture showed the manual with the Atariage logo on it.
