povlok1 #1 Posted December 4, 2003 I remember noting in one of the other post (have no idea wich one for it was 'off topic) a discussion about adding people to you 'bidder block list' to hopefully keep them from posting negatives toward you?? Well,, I can confirm (thru a friend of mine) that this does not work. He recenly had a prob with a gal, instanly added her to the block list, than few days later he got neg'd.. thought you might want to know:)
MrRetroGamer #2 Posted December 4, 2003 No, that would not be possible. You can block an ID from BIDDING on your auction, but you cannot prevent them from leaving feedback of any kind on a completed transaction with you afterward.

video game addict #4 Posted December 4, 2003 LOL That would be great if it did work that way thou! I read somewhere that if you follow the non-paying bidder program, wait the 7 days, wait the 10 days, etc, after it finalizes the bidder loses their right to leaving feedback if they didn't fight the claim somehow. Not certain exactly, that sounded like a great idea, especially for people who back out of auctions & don't pay, would keep them from having any rights to bomb you with negs afterwards. But I never saw any proof that was the case. Also something I read that sounded cool, here I think, was requiring bidders to have a credit card on file as well, then charging the fees to the bidder when they back out of auctions. That would be a great improvement if only they would ever start it! Lots of improvements I could see which would make it a better place for sellers, only it makes it more difficult on new users/bidders so ebay doesn't want to do so. Besides without deadbeats, ebay would never make all the money they do in re-lists!
