pmpddytim
I just recieved my Star Fire Patch and I would like to say thanks to all those involved. Recieving a prize for playing an outstanding game, it just doesn’t get any better than that. I hope that there are more such contests in the future. Albert
So by the way Al... do you need my address or anything? How do I get my patch? Please send me email with your address, the name you want to appear on the Star Fire Elite Squadron page, and a high-resolution version of your photo. I'll then update the Star Fire Elite Squadron page and get your patch in the mail. Thanks! ..Al
Happy_Dude
My patch arrived yesterday Veeeeery cool!!!! I have a question for other Squadron members: Are you going to put your patch on an article of clothing (A Bomber jacket would be really nice ) or keep it in the plastic in a draw, or frame it with the letter and put it on your wall ? I'm leaning towards framing but I'v always wanted a Bomber jacket and this would be the perfect excuse

Gateway
This pic was actually taken about 1 month ago, but I finally got my new printer/scanner up and running, so I thought I'd share. Hopefully this will get me #29. This is actually the 2nd time for me scoring over 3500. A week before this pic, I spent several hours on the game, on the faster laser heating/ higher points setting, but getting more and more frustrated and coming up short of the goal. Finally, I actually lived thru wave 8 and 9, and had passed by 3500 when I did die in wave 10. Savoring the moment, I reached around my Atari that was balanced on a stool so as to reach the TV conections, and grabbed my film camera. The Atari came crashing down to the floor ( only 12 inches ), but it was enough to reset the game, erasing my accomplishment forever, my camera still in hand but unused! After much work the following weekend, I snapped this shot. I hope it is clear enough to qualify( it is the clearest of several shots I took ). @ NE146: thanks for the email info! doctorclu
I just got my first copy yesterday. I work a 60 hour week, but managed to get in 20 minutes of play this morning and managed a score of 1500 ... so we'll see how soon I can get this score. Fun game! I always loved the Star Raiders (Atari 800 esp) type of game. So are there any other games offering patches? Thanks! Doctor Clu
Happy_Dude
So are there any other games offering patches? I hear Thomas Jentzsch is looking into making Thrust+ patches. The only problem is you have to beat the game in order to get one.

Yes, so he'd be safe probably just having five patches made, if that. ..Al
doctorclu
So what is involved with beating Thrust + ? I would be willing to work at it for a patch. Speaking of patches... here is my picture of a score of 3601. My collection of Star Raider like games stand at attention in the picture to celebrate the moment of this fine new cockpit style 2600 game. Yes, Star Master is missing... have to do something about that. (Also pictured here is my hand after playing this game. Most of the black areas are the 20 year old rubber feet of the joystick that rubbed off during play. The rest are just bruises and blisters. Yeh, the 2600 joystick is not ergonomically correct, but hey, it is still my favorite stick. Go fig!)
