Alpine Games - Duranik - Dec / Early 2004 PokerMania - Markus Wuehl - Early 2004?

Shaggy the Atarian
Whatever happened to that bomberman clone for the Lynx? Was it released awhile back and I just missed it or was it canceled?
SteveW
Did anyone come out with a version of Wolfenstein 3D? I remember hearing something about that years back.

oesii
I'm hoping the Relief Pitcher situation gets itself worked out and that game gets released soon.
+davidcalgary29
One shouldn't forget the four titles that were entered into the recent "Design a Lynx Game Contest 2003". I've been -- ahem -- somewhat remiss in submitting a complete contest follow-up, but I will post that soon. The games were all excellent, and I believe that they would all make worthy commercial releases; some of them are now being expanded by their authors. They are, once again: 1. "Push Around the World" (contest winner), by Bjoern Spruck 2. "BattleSpace", (runner-up), by Peter Musiat 3. "Lynx Sketch", by Chris Vick 4. "Star Dreamer", by Karri. Pixel
Does chris_lynx1989 work for some secret Atari agency or something?
+Sauron
No, but he's been known to quite frequently pimp whatever new release Video 61 announces. Not that I have a problem with that, but come on now, spill the beans. We know you want to.
chris_lynx1989
i can say now that one release is still slated for a possible after xmas release(depends on how the xmas buying season report is) and it "might" just be a puzzle-type game.the other is a very secret project and will be a very, very limited release.one more is still pending that has been mention- ed by all here before. also,"break" is supposedly coming some time here for lynx.there is also the "tempest" and the "sonic" clone and "stardreamer" that are pending for lynx in the future.i've seen the future stuff from songbird already in posts stated as coming here.no need to list those. as far as "pimping" goes sauron,i never thought of myself as doing that for the atari hobby or video 61.why do you state that?i'm meerly helping out a fellow atarian that has asked me to put lynx release posts up for them that cannot(because they have bad hands because of an accident)or they do not take the web time in that i do at times.i've never thought of myself as being a pimp for video 61.hmmmmm.if carl asked you to put up a post for a songbird release you might do it,would you not, sauron? all i can share with you folks at the moment.not trying be cloak and dagg- er with all you lynxers, just been told to keep release names on the "qt" till a real post is posted.i've seen carl do teasers for stuff in the past here for the lynx too.--the lynxer

Couldn't you and Lance possibly throw us Relief Pitcher while we're waiting for that new puzzler? I shudder at the thought of playing another inning of Baseball Zeroes. +Sauron
chris_lynx1989: What I said wasn't meant as any kind of insult. I was just stating that you frequently come in here whenever Video 61 is releasing a new Lynx game and let us know about it. I guess I just used a bad choice of words, and like I said before, there's nothing wrong with what you're doing. If it weren't for you, I'm sure many of us wouldn't have heard about those Video 61 releases. So....tell us more about that super super secret project! Jay
8 and 9 are ongoing homebrew projects, no proof of actually game as yet... 8- "Tempest Clone" -TBC - TBC ?? 9- "Sonic Clone" - TBC - TBC ?? I'll quote myself!, just played the 'Tempest' clone, so there is something of proof of a game in the making, though to be fair it needs an awful lot of work before it can be released going on that demo released last month. I have three games on my desk which are more far developed than tempest... I even released some previews over a year ago... I removed them when I had some quarrel with one of the "rom collections"... But they might still be floating around in the web. And yes, they were playable. Tschau, Sage
D-lag
8 and 9 are ongoing homebrew projects, no proof of actually game as yet...8- "Tempest Clone" -TBC - TBC ?? 9- "Sonic Clone" - TBC - TBC ?? Well, the Tempest Clone is named "OuRaGaN" and here you can find the last demo : http://lynx.nymphodusse.net/?lnk_menu=20&lnk_item=4 The first demo (the one you played?) was coded in one night, so it's normal if you think it needs a lot of work to be completed About the Sonic clone, evidence can be found here, on the forum. Have a look here : http://www.atariage.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=38494 Other homebrew competition games below, with a limited chance of being released on cartridge, maybe even as a compilation cartridge?? Push Around the World - Bjoern Spruck BattleSpace - Peter Musiat Lynx Sketch - Chris Vick Star Dreamer - Karri. About these games, I think it's more than a limited chance to see them on cartridge Just give time to the developers as these titles are not really ready to be released, there was "special editions" for the contest

Push.. was more than 95% finished for the contest, thus i think it will be finished mid of 2004. Gimme some weeks of holiday and it would be possible to finish either my dynabuster and bunion clone...

+davidcalgary29
Vindicators! I want Vindicators! Someone out there has to have a prototype of it somewhere... Tempest There are copies of "Vindicators" floating around on demo carts, but I understand that this version only features a few screens and it can't even be considered to be a playable demo. Rumours of a more complete version of the game have circulated for years, but these are largely unsubstantiated.[/i]
