Seller has some worng view about paypal

Recommended Posts

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewI...item=3061482286

Understand that this auction already end recently, but before that I mean to click BIN and I did email to the seller about Paypal.

First email I reply to the seller:

Im Jason here, ok, If I clicked BIN and I do have Paypal and also I have confirmed address from Paypal as well!

then seller reply back to me:

We only accept money order and BidPay.com payments from international bidders due to the unconfirmed address. Under PayPal's Seller Protection policy we must ship to confirmed addresses. Currently all international accounts come through with unconfirmed addresses.

But later I reply back to the seller again (I did print screen from Ebay and Paypal to show the seller what I have confirmed address for proof):

Thank for reply back to me. Now I would like to show you what I have

confirmed address from Paypal and ebay. You can see both of them very clear

that I do have confirmed address.

Now seller reply back to me again:

Thanks for your email. You may have a confirmed address when sending a payment to CANADA but it would not be confirmed to the US.

You notice at the end sentence said: but it would not be confirmed to the US

He is proof worng!! :x

I reply back to him:

Hi again!

You said:

it would not be confirmed to the US

You seem proved wrong! Let me sent $1.00 to you thru Paypal and to see it yourself. Give me your Paypal address then I am going to sent you $1.00.

Now last reply back from seller:

NO THANKS!!! WE DO NOT ACCEPT INTERNATIONAL BIDDERS!!!

I did reported to Paypal customer serivce about this seller seem mix up.

Paypal customer serivce reply to me and said:

After reviewing your account, I show that your do have a confirmed

street address. This address would show as confirmed whether you are

buying something in Canada or in the United states.

Paypal's expaining to me is very clear!

I did decided to email to the seller and said to him:

Just please simple clam down! I just received email from Paypal customer service and said:

After reviewing your account, I show that your do have a confirmed street address. This address would show as confirmed whether you are buying something in Canada or in the United states.

That is very clear what the Paypal customer service explained to me by email.

That is why I prefer paypal, because more safe and fast payment to you. Also other reason is right now is Christmas rush, that is why I don't have time to go and get international US money order.

Now finally the last email reply back to me from seller and said:

Once again, we do not accept payments from international bidders. We have it blocked because of this.

Now I felt so angry about this seller didnt listen!! I did already told to CPUWIZ about this, and he understand how I felt and very fusturtations about this seller!

:x

That is one of the many frustrations of being an "international" bidder, or rather, someone from outside the US.

I just missed out on a great deal a few minutes ago, because I was negotiating with the seller about shipping costs. He was actually happy to ship overseas (although the auction was "US only"), but wanted to make sure I knew the cost. Meanwhile, someone from the US hit "BIN".

I remember that you were happy when Paypal changed it's policy to allow some non-US customers to have confirmed addresses. It's a pity that the information hasn't filtered through.

You guys don't understand, he blocked Jason from bidding because he is from Canada and asked questions before bidding. :x

That seller is an ass.

Jason and I tested it to make sure his address is confirmed, he sent me a dollar and it clearly says confirmed address in the payment. ;)

Although he states "Will ship worldwide".

Small world...

Yes and a lot of european Paypal users have a unconfirmed address like me ...

I try to ask first and for the moment I have a lot of luck with my sellers

( paypal faq : Most non-U.S. addresses cannot be confirmed at this time )

It sucks, Jason.

Unfortunately, it's reality nowadays.

I think some US sellers have a rod up their asses for refusing to ship to Canada and worldwide. I buy games from Canada and I have yet to have a problem with any of the sellers I've bought from.

I think EBay needs to look into this because it's discrimination of some sort. If the seller states that they will ship worldwide and then they decide not to, that's deceptive advertising. :x

I thought about cursing out the seller but then again, it would probably hurt me in the long run.

I can understand why the seller doesn't want to complete the transaction via Paypal. It's the same reason I only accept checks/money orders from international bidders (although I state that in my auctions).

In a word, Paypal's Seller Protection Policy sucks. Your Canadian address will most likely show up as confirmed, but not eligible for the SPP. To quote from Paypal's page on the topic:

Note: At this time, the Seller Protection Policy is only available for U.S. or Canadian sellers transacting with U.S. buyers, and for U.K. sellers transacting with U.K. or U.S. buyers. Eligible transactions will be displayed as Seller Protection Policy Eligible on the Transaction Details page of a payment.

But then it gets worse:

A special note about shipping internationally: If you choose to ship internationally outside of the Seller Protection Policy, you do so at your own risk. Furthermore, shipping to a country not on the list of PayPal approved countries is a violation of our service and may result in termination of your account.

The seller's just trying to cover his own butt, but not going about it in a very professional manner.

You got a good try about this! BUT...The seller did "FAILED" didnt explained about seller's Proection Policy at his auction to tell them (International bidders)! Beacuse seller's auction didnt make it very clearly to the International bidders and should explain why didnt accepted offer Paypal to International bidders!! :x
