Mock #1 Posted December 9, 2003 why they never made a Battlestar Gallactica game for the 2600? not even a prototype? I remember the toys being everywhere back in the day so how did Atari miss out on this one because the show was in the 2600 "hey day"...so to speak. Susuwatari #2 Posted December 9, 2003 There is one for Intellivision, the name was changed for the release because Mattel couldn't get the license to use Battlestar Galactica. If you look at the box art, it's very obvious BSG game. Why there's never any for 2600 is beyond me since they had BSG action figures, BSG board game, BSG costumes, BSG handheld game, et al. It's quie likely that in ;78 with the original run, the programmers weren't familiar with 2600 enough to create a game that actually looks like the show. And in '80 with the god awful BSG 1980, no one would touch that show with a ten foot pole even if it's the last thing left on Earth. Smart move no one tried to make BSG 1980 for any consoles.
