ya.. he had a chance to test all the other ones.. he even stated in the atari auctions "About 20% of the Atari systems I buy on Ebay don't work. So if you don't buy from me, make sure you get one that's been tested. " Im sure he'll come on here and make some lame excuss as always

CPUWIZ,

I sometimes list items as untested because I haven't had time to test the item. I have listed 3-4 of these in the last month and then changed the auction half way through after I have had time to test the item (and they did work). Sometime I have to just move an item because it is taking up too much room and I simply haven't had time to test it. If I know something is broken, I will list that in my auction. I don't know if that is the case for others or not.

In the case of an Astrocade, where overheating is a notorious problem, 99.9% of the time "untested" can be interpreted as "I put this system on my carpeted floor and the system overheated. Now it doesn't power up."

I'd never buy an Astrocade that was being sold as untested as-is.

We need a name for this phenomena. Also for ones that are ended because of an outside offer. :ponder:
