Atariboy
I thought it was Nvidia that was caught doing crooked things on their benchmarks multiple times in the past? lol
privateers69
The last time I had a problem with my ATI card. I called their tech support, and they helped me though it and sent me a e-mail w/ step-by-step process to fix my problem. (couldnt activate the 3D hardware)
Hydian
In the end, unless you have the AA and stuff turned on it doesn't really matter which card you get. If your card can pump out a billion frames per second and your monitor refresh is 70Hz, then you get 70 frames per second. Both ATI and Nvidia make good cards. It sucks that you are having an issue with that ATI card, but there are people who have issues with theNvidia cards too. You could also try to see if ATI will RMA the card (it has to be a retail card, not OEM.) Maybe the card is flawed. It happens. I (unfortunately) fix computers for a living and I've seen plenty of DOA parts.
