[ProToS] #26 Posted December 18, 2003 By the way, you can add some extra hardware to the STE/Falcon's analog controller ports that transforms one port into a 3 port standard ATARI plug joystick port. So in total you can hook up 8 Joysticks. The only game that supports this so far ( i think ) is Dynabusters+ by tSCc http://www.tscc.de/softogr.html It's great fun... But i don't know at the moment where to get the schematics for this nice little "interface" I think they are talking about that ( Centronics-Joysticks on the doc ) PIN CORRISPONDENCE FOR THE 4-JOY ADAPTER Printer Port Joystick 3 --------------- ---------- 1 6 2 1 3 2 4 3 5 4 25 8 Printer Port Joystick 4 --------------- ---------- 6 1 7 2 8 3 9 4 11 6 26 8 These are the wirings of the adapter I've bought. The adapter works with Leathernecks e Gauntlet II. I haven't tried with the originals but... If you find a different (maybe better working) wiring please mail me. Ayreon #27 Posted December 18, 2003 Nah i wasn't talking about the printerport thing. I was wrong though.. with the adapter i was talking about you can connect 2 normal joysticks to the Enhanced joystickports. After a bit of browsing on google i found this nice FAQ http://www.gamesx.com/controldata/ejp_faq.htm Wich contains "everything" about the enhanced joystickports. I'll break some copyrightrules and cut and paste the convertor info here 5.3 Joystick -> EJP adaptor circuit diagram =============================================== Get five friends, six joysticks, two adaptors, a copy of Dynablasters and HAVE FUN!!! If you don't have that many joysticks, but do have a joypad, bear in mind that you can use the "Padaptor" described above - or even incorporate it into this design. 15 pin high density 9 pin D plug D plug (joystick 1) 1 O------------------------------O 1 UP 2 O------------------------------O 2 DOWN 3 O------------------------------O 3 LEFT 4 O------------------------------O 4 RIGHT 6 O------------------------------O 6 FIRE 9 O----------------*-------------O 8 GROUND | | | 9 pin D plug | (joystick 2) | +-------------O 8 GROUND 10 O------------------------------O 6 FIRE 11 O------------------------------O 1 UP 12 O------------------------------O 2 DOWN 13 O------------------------------O 3 LEFT 14 O------------------------------O 4 RIGHT hmm this board doesn't really allow pasting things with a lot of empty spaces. But you get the idea and can look in the FAQ for the flawless "drawing"
