How close do you sit to your TV when playing?

I sit the length of the PS2 cord... about 10 feet, so that I can play games and watch TV at the same time.

Usually 6-8 feet. I hate being any closer with a 27" TV. I don't like moving my eyes more than about 10 degrees.

Depends on the size of the TV, of course. On a 20-some odd TV, maybe... eight feet. Much further on any size TV when I'm just watching it.

I sit approx 15-16 feet away in my living room using controller extension leads.

Games, I sit as farasthe cord will allow. Some systems, TG-16 especially have very short cords. The TV inmy gameroom is a 20 inch so no big deal. I actually prefer games on a 20 inch or slightly smaller.

 

For watching TV, I usually sit about 7 feet but that's all my living room will allow. It's a long narrow room and it doesn't work with the couches turned the long way. It's why I'll never have bigger then a 27 inch in that room.

Of course, that's the size of my living room, when I had my 32" TV I sat the exact same distance from it. Took some getting used to, but I think the screen is too small now (don't we all?)

Hmm...that was more info than we needed to know Raijin Z, a real thread killer. I'll stay on topic and save the thread.

 

It depends on the game I'm playing. If it's a FPS, Shooter, Racer or Fighter, then about 3 or 5 feet away. If it's a RPG or adventure game, then I'll kick back on the couch, about 8 to 10 feet away.

i sit three feet from my nineteen inch setup...I am soon getting a 27 in television and will probably sit the same distance away or another foot back....my eyes hate me, especially all the time spent on my virtual boy...
