PS2 cooling fan.....worth it to get or what?

I dont know anyone of you already have one, its does work well for PS2 to keep dust away from console?

 

Beacuse I already bought brand new PS2 console what I did recently already posted at Modern Gaming thread.

 

I would like to hear your opinions.

Looks like quality garbage, you don't really need that, just make sure you don't keep your PS2 on the carpet.

You would think one is enough, if that's all the system was built with, that should be all that is needed for it to operate correctly. Probably wouldn't effect Jason as much as some people, but also I would think a second fan would make it too noisy as well.

 

This I'm not sure of, but I know the first time I tried to watch a movie in it, that was very noticable, the fan noise, all through out the movie. I could just imagine twice the annoyance!

The fan on it is just way to loud. I understand your woes. My computer

is quieter! And its got 3 fans in it.

 

However I have noticed that my PS2 is quite a dust collector. I just

vacuum it from time to time.

I think the noise is just a factor while watching movies, ususally ingame music & effects are louder. Although some games you hear it too. But I would bet a double fan setup might get to be much more noticeable. Probably still not as bad as CPS2! That is most definitely the loudest fan I have heard on such as small piece of hardware!

Yeah, that is true, my brother have one (older version of PS2) is the worst and loudest fan....later failed read disc error, then my brother brought it to the store and got brand new PS2 console (newer version of PS2) and he did noticed inside of his new console's fan is much quieter than his older version of PS2!

 

Now remembered I told you what I bought my brand new console of PS2 (newer version) there will be much quiet fan! I will post here when I open it by Dec 25th!

No I meant CPS2 That is the loudest I've heard! It has one fan on the end, alot of people just disconnect it. This was once made for inside of an arcade machine, I'm using it out in the open connected to my tv, so it's distracting to hear it while playing.

 

PSX & PS2 are not that bad. But sometimes I hear it when plaing games. I think if you added another fan, it might add to that, but it might not even bother you.

The problem with PS2s is not overheating. It's dust that collects on the lens. This fan would just make that problem worse by sucking *more* dust into the system.

It prevents the heat from escaping, and overheats the PS2 quicker.
