I have a question I also have a XBOX but I used to have a PS2...

 

Here is a question for you guys

 

Whats Better?

 

MechAssault (XBOX) or Robotech Battlecry (PS2/XBOX)

 

I had Robotech when I had the PS2 and I liked it alot but I have never played Mech Assault

 

So which one is better??

MechAssault is a fun and fairly straightforward game . Campaign mode is a little bit of story with a few missions (Would have liked them to last longer... think it took me a couple days of casual play to finish them all off). It does have several other modes tho; survival and last man standing some with 2 player support, and it's fun with a friend... (You can play mechs that you "unlock/discover" in the campaign mode in the other modes). Decent combat vs computer, but I think a tad more fun with another person. It is Xbox Live compatible, but I havn't got to try that out yet .I would say since it's a platnium hit now, it's well worth the 20$.

 

Another good mech game (well i enjoyed it) that you didn't mention is Armored Core 2 (ps2). I'm not sure how this would stack up nowadays, I played it a couple years ago (one of the first games I had for my ps2 in fact) It's mission/story based. But actually kept me entertained for a while. You can construct your own mechs, etc. And there is a vs mode. And now there is another, AC2:Another Age, havn't tried that one yet.

I didnt know untill TODAY, when I googled Robotech Battlecry (PS2) and I saw one with the Xbox logo on it I thought it was BS, but I googled Robotech Battlecry (XBOX) and I saw the cover with the XBOX logo, I called up my local GameStop and they had it in stock for 17.99... So i plan to go pick it up tomorrow!!

 

Robotech has also a story and canpaing mode a 2Player mode also

 

I saw the screenshots for Mech and they where cool too but I would have to play it but seeing that Robotech is on the XBOX I will stick to the one I know!

I've played both, and I perfer MechAssault out of the two. I was never much of a Robotech person though, so that might have had some leverage on my descision.

 

Playing MechAssault against another person OR the computer is more enjoyable than Robotech Battlecry (In my opinion.).

Look for the Collector's Editions of Robotech. They're available for all three consoles, and are running around $20 right now.

 

I bought my regular GC version of Robotech: Battlecry for $10 at a Fry's Electronics that had a shelf full of copies. Literally, a shelf jam packed full of copies. I later bought the Collector's Edition and gave the sealed game out of that to my nephew.

Well I called GameStop and they didnt have the Collectors Ed. also I inquired about Halo (part 1) and they had it for 29.99 and a Preowned Robotech: Battlecry for 17.99

 

So I decided and called my local EBGames and they didnt have the Collectors Ed. either, so i asked and they had a Preowned Robotech:Battlecry for 14.99, out of curiosity I asked about Halo (part 1) and they had it NEW for 19.99.

 

Common Sense says to go to EBGames and thats exactly what i did!!

And now I have Robotech: Battlecry and Halo for my XBOX

 

BTW the Halo has 3 movies about the upcoming Halo 2!! Which is in my terms very very cool!! I had allready beaten Halo so I still had my character saved on my HD so I had no problem to hit the last stage but I would like to beat it again this time around in the hardest mode!!
