NON WORKING CHEATS??

I bought Robotech:Battlecry for XBOX (a game I had for PS2) Im currently in a frenzy of Robotech but now I cant seem to beat Stage 2 I am very fustrated and I decided to resort to a cheat to skip the level!!

 

BUT THE CHEAT WONT WORK!! :x

 

At the main menu, select the "New Game" option. Then, hold L + R and quickly press Left, Up, Down, A, Right, B, Start to display the cheat entry screen. Enter one of the following codes to activate the corresponding cheat function:

 

I Dunno I do exactly as it says and I dont get no "cheat entry screen"

There is a little saying that says that if you fail try try again, well I managed to pass the level!! :D :D

I've never played that game. Some cheats only work at the start of playing.

Cheating ruins games. Suffer through it, and consider it training. Only pussies use Human Plus in the Armored Core games.

How is Robotech: Battlecry anyways? I saw the Gamecube version on sale for $25, but I'm not sure whether to pick it up or not. It looked good, but I was never all that into mech games.

I'm one of the biggest Robotech fans there is.

 

Even I couldn't find any redeeming value to Robotech: Battlecry.

 

Bad graphics (even people who LIKE cel shading tend to agree the graphics of the game are well below acceptable standards)

Bad control

Vague mission success targets

Total detachment from the action

 

It was already on sale for $30 a mere 3 days after the launch date. That should have warned me right there that it was a bad one, but it was Robotech, so I bought it.

 

I can't say it was a total waste of money. I suppose you could use it for a cup coaster. And the case could be used to protect more valuable discs. Beyond that, it was pretty pathetic.

 

The only game in recent memory that I can think of as being worse was the Defender remake.

Well I've been a fan for almost 6 months and Im loving robotech!!

 

As you said the game is not that great but I envoy it!!

Some games are already ruined by their insane level of difficulty. You may like them played straight, but that doesn't mean all other players have to enjoy them like you did. If it weren't for cheats being in games, some players would simply have given up on the games they bought and let them sit on the shelf or chuck them into the trash. As for the cheats themselves, I'd rather have them functional than not working at all.

I usually do not use cheats but can anyone in hear honestly say they beat GTAIII without the all weapons cheat, health Cheat or persuit off cheat?

 

Also those cheats made the non-mission parts of the game much more fun!

My stance on cheats is that they're okay to use AFTER you've finished a game (to extend replay value) or if you've hit a point in a game where you simply lack the skill (or patience) to continue.

 

All in all, I'll try my best not to use cheats during the normal course of my gameplay.

Quoted for truth. Still, I think it's okay to cheat if you're having trouble with a rented game, and if it's the last day of the rental. Never cheat before you beat a game you bought, though. It wastes the purchase.

That's too bad... thanks for the advice though, I guess I'll save my money for something else instead (Probably Viewtiful Joe... although since I recently got Wind Waker, THUG, and Mario & Luigi, I think I'll wait, otherwise at least one of those games will be lost to my short attention span).
