+Sauron #1 Posted January 2, 2004 I have an old Activision paint program called Paintworks that I used to use on my old ST. Does anyone know of any "cracked" versions of this program that will run via emulation? I've been unsuccessful so far with making images of the disk, as I believe it's a single sided disk with copy protection. Copying the files over to another disk will not allow the program to run. I'd like to be able to run this via emulation, as I'd like to make some screenshots of some of my "masterpieces". Any help would be appreciated! Gunstar #2 Posted January 2, 2004 I have quite a few really good paint programs for the ST, but not that one currently. I have cracked versions of programs that have been enhanced too, like NeoChrome, which the hackers call the NeoChrome Master and it allows all 512 colors onscreen at once (16 colors per scanline). Degas Elite is the same way (original versions of these only allowed 16 colors total onscreen). I also have Spectrum 512, which displays all 512 colors, but allows 48 colors per scan line. I don't know I'll look a bit more for Paintworks for you too. It might be that your pictures are compatible with one of these programs. Below is a zip which contains several top ST paint programs, like the ones I mentioned. They will unzip into files meant to be loaded from the ST desktop, I cna only assume this is possible with an emulator and that disk images aren't required, as I've never used an ST emulator. paint.zip
Ayreon #3 Posted January 2, 2004 I never heard of Paintworks... but you might want to try crackart. This will load a lot of different file types and maybe it can read and display pics made by Paintworks. http://www.dhs.nu/files_gfx.php That page also has most painting proggies used by the demoscene.
