Hopefully, no one will fall for it! Well, if nothing else, it is an interesting successor to the Nigerian 419 scams.

Also, interesting to note that the first time this fella sold something, he listed his location as "Jersey" - and now, he's in Poland...

So, it smells like a highjacked account - but, if one is going to highjack an account, why one with so little feedback?!?

Hmm... I think someone could get into a crapload of trouble if someone does buy it and it turns out to be fake.

I wonder if ebay is looking into this at all. Maybe one of the people who've done business with the "Jersey" unclebobba has an email address for him.

Actually, I hate to say it, but I don't think those pics are 'chops. They DO look a little phony because of the odd lighting (few shaows, and what there are, are extremely soft) and its paint job (which looks rendered) and the rail gun on the side looks a little funny -- a few of the barrels look a little 'chopped, but that may be JPEG aliasing. Plus, the AT-ST keeps moving from shot to shot -- look at the sun roof and the mech's relative position to it. It's inconsistent. There's even some faint, wierd looking drop shadow effect in one of the closeups that I can't explain.

But even having said that, I think the unit is real only because of the "workshop" shot. If the others were chops -- and there are too many indicators that they just might be -- then there's no way the workshop shot is, 'cos the other shots would have shown him not to be particularly good with Photoshop. The Workshop shot is too dead on -- the lighting, scale, shadows and colour/tone matching are too spot on to be faked by someone who doesn't know his way around Photoshop. He might have just 'chopped the thing into that office setting for effect.

In the picture where the girl is near the model, I wonder about the dark outline around her arm (it's absent on the other side, meaning she was probably photographed in the same room, but against another object). She's not close enough to the wall for it to be a shadow. Also, her loose pants don't seem to drape around the curved foot of the model, but rather they fall in a straight line.

And in the shop does the guy's hand look a little "merged" with the model?

More evidence of a fake...

The left foot (in the distance) seems to casts no visible shadows, yet, the right foot is casting a shadow above it against a close object (not the back wall which is too far away and makes a 90-deg bend in the middle of the shadow). The shadow behind the right foot is that of a thin object lit from in front, yet the bulky foot only seems to cast a shadown beneath it, and not behind it.

The same seller is also selling Windows 2000.

I don't see how there would be any problems if you bought it and paid for the escrow. It is basically a company that keeps your money until you say you are satisfied with the product. How could you get ripped off?

I say it is real.

Well, it didn't sell (but it's sure not from lack of hits).
